SNAKEBYTE MEDIA REMOTE CONTROL FOR USE WITH XBOX 360 Thank you for choosing the snakebyte Media Remote Control for use with Microsofts Xbox 360! Your media remote lets you control your entire AV system, Xbox 360 DVD and CD playback, the Xbox Dashboard, and many other useful functions. Before using this product, please read this manual carefully for important safety and health instructions, and for setting up your snakebyte Media Remote Control. Point your TV remote towards the topside of the Media Remote Control (Make sure the IR LED on the two remotes are on the same level within a range of max. 3 cm, cf. illustration 2.) and press the remote controls key you want to assign. When the mode key quickly flashes twice and then turns off, the key is successfully set up with the same function of the key on your original remote. If not, please repeat steps 2 to 4 until the mode key flashes and turns off properly. Repeat steps 2 to 4 to program other universal keys.
After all universal keys are successfully set up, the remote stays in the mode of your choice. You can control your programmed device now, switch back to another mode or program further modes. You can set up any key of an IR remote to the universal keys on the remote. Note: The universal keys can only learn commands from an IR remote. The universal keys only memorize the latest function programmed. When using the Media Remote Control for the first time, the universal keys have no function in any of the universal TV modes. You need to set up each individual key by repeating the above 4 steps. USING YOUR SNAKEBYTE MEDIA REMOTE CONTROL Use the mode keys to switch between universal and pre-programmed (Xbox 360 & PS2) modes. There is no default mode (i.e. neither Xbox360 mode nor any other modes are default) for the Media Remote Control. The functions for the Xbox 360 game console of the snakebyte Media Remote Control are identical to those on Microsofts original Xbox 360 Universal Media Remote. Make sure your AV cable is properly connected. Poor Performance with the Xbox 360 Console? Make sure that you have fresh batteries in your remote control Point the remote directly at the infrared sensor adjacent to memory unit slot A. Verify that the infrared sensor is not blocked or covered. Make sure that youre using the remote within a 10 feet range of the infrared sensor. GETTING STARTED Insert Batteries: 1. Lift the battery cover. 2. Insert two fresh AAA batteries in the polarity shown in the battery compartment. 3. Close the battery compartment and make sure that the lid locks safely. Set up the snakebyte Media Remote Control for use with your TV The Media Remote Control controls up to six different devices (cf. illustration 1). It is pre-programmed for use with the Xbox 360 and the Playstation2 and is capable of taking over functions from four of your existing IR remotes. Setting up these universal Learning Keys is easy: 1. Press the mode key of your choice (e.g. TV1) to change into the respective universal mode. 2. Press and hold the mode key until it is completely lit. 3. Press one of the universal keys on the bottom half of the Media Remote Control and the mode key will start flashing slowly.

SET UP YOUR XBOX 360 MEDIA REMOTE CONTROL Insert Batteries 1. Lift up the battery cover. 2. Insert two new AAA batteries as shown in the battery compartment. 3. Press down the battery cover. Set up the Universal Remote for Your TV The Media Remote Control has 23 keys (See illustration 1) those can work not only on Xbox 360 but can learn from other IR remote also. To set up the universal keys, you only need to do a few simple steps. 1. Press the TV key to change the mode for working on your TV. 2. Press the Set key until the green LED at the left top of the Media Remote Control completely lit up. 3. Press one of the universal keys on the remote, the green LED will start flashing slowly. 4. Point your TV remote towards the Universal Remote (Make sure the IR LED on the two remotes are at the same level and within 3 cm, see illustration 2.) and press the key. When the green LED quickly flashes twice and then turns off, the key is successfully set up the same function of the key on your TV remote. If not, repeat the steps 2 to 4. 5. Repeat steps 2 to 4 to set the other universal keys. After all the universal keys are successfully set up, the remote stays at the mode for working on your TV. You can control your TV now or press the TV key to change the mode for working on your Xbox 360 game console. You can set up any key of an IR remote to the universal keys on the remote. Notes: 1. The universal keys can only learn the keys of an IR remote. 2. The universal keys can only memorize the function the last time learnt. 3. When you use the Media Remote Control first time, the universal keys have no function in the TV mode. 4. You need to set up each of the keys by doing the above 4 steps.
USING YOUR MEDIA REMOTE CONTROL The one key switch key is the mode key to switch between working on TV and your Xbox 360 game console. There is no default mode for the Universal Remote. To check the mode status, press any one of the keys on the Universal r Remote. If all the keys on the remote illuminate, the remote is at the mode for
Xbox 360. If only the universal keys illuminate, the remote is at the mode for TV or the electronic device you have set up for. The functions on the Xbox 360 game console of the Universal Remote keys are the same as the Microsoft Xbox 360 Universal Media Remote.
