Eolis 3D WireFree RTS NEW WIND SENSOR
The innovative dimension
Somfy has introduced patented, innovative features to provide an added measure for effective and reliable protection of retractable awnings. With the Eolis 3D WireFree RTS sensor, Somfy has launched the first wireless, intuitive, battery powered wind sensor.
The simplicity dimension
> Easy to install
The complementary dimension
RTS compatible
The Eolis 3D WireFree RTS complements the Somfy automatic weather control and sensor range for retractable awnings. The standard of reference for fast, simple installation, with over 4 million users around the world.
Three great innovations to protect retractable awnings
1 3D wind detection:
Somfy has developed an exclusive patented technology to protect awnings against the wind: the sensor not only detects horizontal and vertical movements of the awning, but also lateral ones. As soon as the preset threshold is exceeded, the sensor automatically retracts the awning. The reliability of the Eolis 3D WireFree sensor has been validated by numerous wind tunnel and laboratory tests.
Sunis WireFree RTS:
2 Intuitive programming:
With the sensor installed on the front bar of the awning, simply shake the awning with your hand to record in the sensors memory the magnitude of movement that should not be exceeded. This adjustment can also be set using a potentiometer control within the sensor's enclosure.

100% wireless. >With no wires to connect, the Eolis 3D WireFree RTS can be installed
quickly. The sensor draws power from two 'AAA' batteries. Discreet and compact, the Eolis 3D WireFree RTS is best fitted to one end of the front bar, to optimize sensitivity to wind-generated movements.

When the battery level is low, an indicator warns the end-user, who can easily replace the batteries without assistance. The Auto-Save function means that removing the sensor prevents any unwanted movement of the awning. Memorization of the settings means there's no need to reprogram the sensor.
3 The Auto-Save function:
By removing the sensor from the support base, the sensor is momentarily deactivated which prevents the awning from being retracted. The programmed settings are stored in the Eolis 3D WireFree RTS sensor's memory.
