2. ounting compatibility of the safety edge m and the rolling door end slat
[1] Remove the slats from the runners and lower them to mid-height [2] Determine whether the safety edge is compatible with the end slat. End slat compatible with the safety edge: go to step 3. End slat not compatible with the safety edge : adapt by fitting an aluminium rail, part number 9013453.

3. lengthening operation

[1] Cut the safety edge on the side without the connector, using the appropriate tool (photo 1), to the length of a slat. End to be recut
[2] Remove the copper section of the safety edge by at least 6 cm and cut 2 cm
[3] Make sure that the copper section of the safety edge is cut cleanly.

[4] Make a 3 cm cut in the plastic border.
[5] Slide the resistor tab completely between the 2 copper strips (any direction).

[6] Fit the retaining clip a minimum of 3 mm from the end so as to hold the 2 copper strips and the resistor tab.
[7] Put the heat shrink sheath on so that it covers the end of the resistor tab.
[8] Heat the sheath using the appropriate tool (see photo 2), until it has shrunk completely. Use a flat clip to ensure the end is correctly sealed.
[9] Push in the extended section so that it is no longer visible.
[10] lide the safety edge into the end slat so that the cable and connector section is S on the transmitter side.
[11] Prepare the end slat on the rolling door so that the safety edge and its transmitter can be fitted. It is important to adhere to the distances between the transmitter and the magnets for opening in the end slat. This will allow the safety edge cord to be passed through (see diagram below).

To activate the alarm Warning! The door must be fully open. To activate the alarm, push and hold the S-E-C button until the amber LED (above the button) goes from flashing to solid. The alarm sounds for five minutes if the roller is lifted manually above the BOTTOM Magnet. To stop the alarm Press the button on a remote control. Supply voltage : 12Vdc Sound level : 100dB at 1m.
