| I have used many lcd monitors, and this is by far my favorite one. No dead pixels, great refresh rate, bright, sharp image quality. In all. I dual boot XP and Vista. I found it interesting that this monitor looked near perfect with XP out of the box. Albeit too bright. In Vista however. | |

| Samsung SM226BW Monitor At his request I bought this for my son at Christmas. He had researched it and said that it was the bees knees. Blurry when showing fast-moving images - on its way back to Amazon I bought this panel. | |

| Poor Design, but great pictures I have owned this for 3 years and 4 months. The matte screen is great. I get a great picture on normal functions. Shockingly Bad customer service I purchased this monitor and registered it online. No Samsung customer service My one star is not because this is a bad monitor, but because Samsung will not stand by their product and warranty claims. | |

| My son has already thrown a toy into the screen and killed a pixel. Oh what can you do? Life goes on... I researched for a monitor that was supior. No Comment. Beautiful monitor-Great price even without the rebate. Quite a stretch of real estate. | |

| The picture quality started out very good on my monitor, but deteriorated over a couple of years. Vertical banding began to appear. Now. ive gone through quite a few monitors already due to gaming. i just dont like any other monitor after having this. its so vibrant and crisp. | |

| Im using this monitor, and i cant complain about it. It has everything that need to play games and watch movies. It looks solid but also stylish due to the glossy black look. On looks alone then the Samsung would have things wrapped up before we even left the starting blocks. | |

| A desk. As always I think Samsung continue to manufacture some of the best displays that are out there and this screen is no exception. 2ms, 22" - thats why Samsung SyncMaster 226BW is so good. I really like this monitor. Its from a good reliable comapany ( Samsuny) . It is very clear and very precise. | |

After choosing the roller tube and the chart corresponding to your type of slat (see pages 17-20), select the operator according to the weight and the total height of the shutter ( the safety factor is included in these charts).
TORQUE REQUIREMENT DIAGRAM
Torque Actual Motor Torque Required Safety Margin (allowing for friction and misalignment)
Torque Variations
Theoretical Torque
Number of Turns
A. The initial torque required to start lifting the slats is small. However, it increases rapidly. This results from the motor lifting the load of the slats away from the bottom of the application. B. All slats are hanging free. The torque may slightly decrease while the slats are rolling up, since the tube radius has not yet increased. C. The maximum torque required is arrived at when the slats are lifted up about one third of the way from the bottom of the application. D. The torque decreases progressively and reaches a minimum when the shutter is fully rolled up.
After choosing the roller tube and the page corresponding to your type of slat, select the operator according to the weight and the total height of the shutter (A safety factor is included in these charts).

FABRIC
FABRIC MOTOR
ELECTRONIC CONTROL
For the 525A2 FTS motor, the entire FTS system must be able to withstand a minimum of 250 Lbs. of force. This value was obtained based on both the fabric tube and strap tube having a diameter of 2.5. For the 655A2 FTS motor, the entire FTS system must be able to withstand a minimum of 500 Lbs. of force. This value was based on both the fabric tube and strap tube having a diameter of 3.5.

SLT and OREA RTS Motors SLT
The SLT Range is made exclusively for cassette awnings. What separates the SLT from a standard LT is the onboard control which detects when a cassette is almost closed and reduces the torque of the motor for the last few inches of travel. Then when the headrail meets the cassette, the on-board control shuts the motor off. The combination of digital control plus a reduced-torque closing provides the maximum protection against fabric stretch. For more information, turn to page 66.
OREA RTS
The new radio version of the SLT motor is the OREA RTS. This motor can be mounted on the left or right side of the cassette awning and is compatible with the RTS sensors. It features an integrated radio receiver with remote limit setting and a remote user programmable intermediate stop. 24

Setting the Limits for the first time
Both limits must be set on each motor. Use the Limit Setting chart below to determine the order in which the limits are set for a given motor and fabric orientation. 1. Unwind the fabric using the tester cable (fig. 2). When the desired position is reached, set the strap tube limit by pressing and releasing the PRIMARY limit (1) on the strap motor tube. Then press and release the SECONDARY limit (2) on the fabric motor. 2. Using the tester cable, wind the fabric around the fabric tube (fig. 3). When the desired position is reached, press and release the PRIMARY limit (3) on the fabric motor tube. Then press and release the SECONDARY limit (4) on the strap motor. 3. Before connecting the motors to the controller, run the system (using the tester cable) in both directions to verify that the system works correctly. NOTE: If any limits need to be readjusted, be sure to re-set both the primary and secondary limits for the system in the correct order as described above.

B. INSTALLATION CONFIGURATIONS
Below are the Four Motor Configurations that are possible with the FTS System: The different configurations each require a unique instruction for wiring and limit setting. Wiring Identification The tables below the illustrations describe the wiring scheme with FTS control terminal identification based on the motor and fabric orientation above it. NOTE: The illustration on top is configured exactly the same as the one below it, only flipped over to visually illustrate the fabric rolling above or below the tube.

C. FINAL CONNECTIONS
All wiring must conform to NEC (National Electrical Code) and local codes. Before connecting the operators to the electronic control, set the tension adjustment potentiometers to "0" and ensure that all the dip switches are in the "off" position. Referring to charts above, connect the motors and switch to the electronic control as shown in the diagram to the right. Check that the system operates correctly with respect to the switch directions. Make sure the limits have been properly set. At this point, there may be some fabric sag - this is normal. To finish the installation, set both the dynamic and final tension adjustment potentiometers to a minimum value of 5. This will remove all the fabric sag in the system and ensure proper operation of the FTS installation.

2.3 ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
< LS 40 >
a.PREPARING THE TUBE. - Cut the roller tube to the required length. Note: Take into account the installation width, the width of the motor head, the type of plug end and the bracket size. - De-burr the ends of the tube and ensure that the inside of the tube is clean. - Fit the plug end into the other end of the tube and secure with four steel pop rivets.
b.PREPARING THE TUBULAR MOTOR. - Place the crown wheel over the body of the motor and slide it over the raised key of the motors limit switch unit. - Place the drive wheel onto the output shaft of the motor.
c.FITTING THE MOTOR INTO THE TUBE. - Measure the drilling length as shown on the right. Do not drill into the motor output shaft. - Fit the motor into the tube, ensuring that the slot at the end of the tube slides over the key on the crown wheel. - Secure the drive wheel to the tube using 4 x 5mm steel pop rivets, placed at 120 from each other.

Drilling length to measure
d.MOTOR END FITTING. - Three possible ways of fixing the motor head:
With 2 screws directly on the head
With a square shaft 10 mm rf. 9147334
With a flat <LO> bracket ref. 9147337
e.INSTALLING THE MOTORISED TUBE Note: Install the motor bracket on the same side as the power supply. - Fit the brackets, but do not tighten them. - Fit the plug end bracket over the plug end. - Ensure that the tube is horizontal using a spirit leveller. - Tighten the brackets once it is level. f. WIRING RECOMMENDATIONS The Electrical Supply Regulations 1988 give an Electricity Board the right to refuse to supply, or continue the supply to, a consumers installation which is not safe or which may cause interference with the supply to others. Do not wire two or more motors to one switch without using a relay.
Do not use light switches. Do not wire two or more switches to one motor, without using relays approved by SOMFY. g.LIMIT SWITCH SETTING.
Two positions have to be set: the upper and lower limit position. This is where the awning, blind or roller shutter stops automatically: 1 - Ensure the switch is at the STOP position. 2 - Check that the: - Up button corresponds to the shutter or blind rolling up - Down button corresponds to the shutter or blind rolling down. If the rotational direction is incorrect, reverse the black and brown wires of the motor (connected to the switch).
SETTING THE STARTING POINT. - Before fitting the end product onto the tube, depress the DOWN button until the motor stops. The limit switch is pre-set at 3 turns. If a key way tube is used, place the key way facing outwards (towards yourself). To do this: Turn the DOWN thumbscrew. To identify the DOWN thumbscrew: check the direction the end product unwinds, find the arrow which points in the same direction (on the motor), the thumbscrew is located next to this arrow. Fix the fabric or shutter onto the tube, taking into account the direction the end product unwinds.
upper limit
lower limit
UP: Winding of the end product. DOWN: Unwinding of the end product.
UPPER LIMIT. Identify the UP thumbscrew which sets the upper limit. Find the arrows on the motor head which points the direction the motor rotates. Press the UP direction on the switch. The system would roll up. At this point, there are two possibilities: 1) The system stops short of the desired upper position. To adjust the blind up to the desired position, turn the UP thunbscrew in the positive direction while the switch is pressed UP, or 2) The system rolls beyond the desired upper position. Use the switch to roll the blind to the desired position or below the desired position. If the blind is below the desired position, refer to 1).
LOWER LIMIT. Identify the DOWN thumbscrew which sets the lower limit. Find the arrows on the motor head which points the direction the motor rotates. Press the DOWN direction on the switch. The system will roll down. At this point, there are two possibilities: 1) The system stops short of the desired lower position. To adjust the blind up to the desired position, turn the DOWN thumbscrew in the positive direction while the switch is pressed DOWN, or 2) The system rolls beyond the desired upper position. Use the switch to roll the blind to the desired position or below the desired position. If the blind is below the desired position, refer to 1).
h.DIAGNOSTICS. IF NOTHING WORKS, CHECK:
- that the power supply is switched on; also check fuses in the system. - that the control switch is wired correctly. - that the limit switches are set properly. - that the thermal protective device has not shut the motor off. If so, wait for the motor to cool down. - that the motor and switch has been wired correctly. Disconnect the switch and test the motor with a test cable.
IF THE SYSTEM DOES NOT STOP, CHECK:
- that the limit switch crown is being driven by the tube. - that the tube has been properly notched. - that the motor drive wheel is securely fastened to the tube. NB: if the motor is tested outside the tube, the crown wheel has to be manually turned in order to activate the limit switch unit and to stop the motor.

Refer to instructions. - Are limit switches set properly? Review limit switch settings. - The thermal protective device may have shut the motor off. Wait for the motor to cool down. - Check the wiring between the motor & the switch. - Disconnect the switch & test the motor with a test cable. THE SYSTEM IS NOT STOPPING - Is the limit switch crown wheel being driven by the tube (has tube profile been properly notched)? -Is motor drive wheel securely fastened to the tube. NB: if the motor is tested outside the tube, the crown wheel has to be manually turned in order to stop the rotation of the output shaft.
2.4 RECOMMENDATIONS
OCTOGONAL TUBES:
TO CHECK THE COMPATIBILITY OF A TUBE WITH CTS40, PLEASE USE THE ATTACHED DRAWINGS. THE DEPRAT TUBE 40 X 0,6 IS COMPATIBLE WITH CTS40, THE DEPRAT 40X 0,8 IS NOT COMPATIBLE.
FOR A GOOD TILTING:
LEAVE THE CORD SLACK IN DOWN LIMIT AND THE LOAD BAR BORNE BY THE LADDERBRAIDS. DO NOT FORGET TO PUT THE LADDERBRAIDS SLAT CLIPS. THE LADDERBRAIDS IS IMPORTANT. TO USE TOO THIN LADDERBRAIDS CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS.
FOR A GOOD LIFTING:
THE DIAMETER AND THE QUALITY OF THE LIFTING CORDS ARE VERY IMPORTANT. OUR TESTS HAVE BEEN CARRIED OUT WITH CORDS FROM JULIUS KOCH AND NIBROL. IN DOWN POSITION THE CORD MUST NOT MAKE ANY DEAD TURNS. TAKE CARE, DURING ASSEMBLY, NOT TO SCRATCH THE CONE FOR INSTANCE WITH A SCREWDRIVER. IN ORDER NOT TO WEAR QUICKLY THE CORDS, THE SLAT PUNCHES MUST BE OF GOOD QUALITY AND OF ADAPTED DIMENSIONS. PRIOR TO ASSEMBLY UNTWIST THE CORDS. TO BE 100% OF THE GOOD HORIZONTABILITY OF THE LOAD BAR AVOID TO MIX CONES FROM DIFFERENT BATCHES ON THE SAME BLIND. WE GUARANTY THE GOOD WORKING OF CTS40 ONLY WHEN THE HEADRAIL IS HORIZONTAL.
ASSEMBLY:
TO LIMIT FRICTION LEAVE A LARGE ENOUGH GAP BETWEEN PLUG END AND BRACKET. TO TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THE CORD DIMENSIONAL CHANGES, DO NOT STACK THE SLATS COMPLETELY. SET THE UP LIMIT AT 25 MM FROM THE HEADRAIL.
TRANSPORTATION:
THE BLINDS MUST BE DISPATCHED RETRACTED. ONCE FITTED, IN ORDER TO SUPPRESS ANY OVERLAPPING OF THE CORD, DRIVE THE BLINDS IN DOWN POSITION. IN ORDER TO CANCEL THE CORD OVERLAPPING, THE STACKS OF SLATS MUST BE CAREFULLY PACKED. (SEE ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS)
ORDERS:
THE CONES AND BEARING CAN ONLY BE ORDERED AND SHIPPED IN BOXES OF 50 PIECES. MINIMUM LENGHT OF HEADRAIL WITH LS 40 + CTS 40: X MM
