WARNING: For the SOLIRIS RTS SENSOR to function properly, the transmitter which is memorized into the motor's receiver, must be configured correctly. The DOWN button MUST correspond to DOWN on the end product. In the case of an awning, it will open or extend the awning. If the UP button extends the awning, the wind sensor will also extend the awning during windy conditions. THIS IS DANGEROUS! Damage and injury could occur. Do not proceed until proper operation of the transmitter is verified. Please refer to the installation instructions of the relevant motor to change the direction if necessary.

3Programming
Activate the receiver's memory by pushing (for more than 2 seconds) the programming button of a transmitter already recorded in the motor's memory.
B. To Record or delete a sensor
Press briefly on the programming button of the SOLIRIS RTS sensor
The motor must be in programming mode to record a SOLIRIS RTS sensor. One SOLIRIS RTS sensor can be memorized into several motors. It is not recommended to memorize more than 1 SOLIRIS RTS sensor into the motors memory.
The awning Jogs briefly (DOWN/UP). If it is a new sensor : it will be recorded in the motor. If the sensor was previously recorded : it will be deleted.
A. To Enter the "Programming mode"
C. To delete all the sensors and record a new one
Press for more than 7 sec. on the "programming" button of the new SOLIRIS RTS sensor.
> 2 sec.
The awning jogs briefly DOWN/UP This confirms. the motor is in programming mode.
The awning jogs briefly (DOWN/UP). The memory of the receiver is cleared (all previous sensors are erased) and the new sensor is recorded.
4Operation
The SOLIRIS RTS sensor controls and provides a measure of protection for a retractable awning according to the sun and wind conditions. The WIND and SUN thresholds can be adjusted by two potentiometers, one for wind speed and the other for daylight intensity. The adjustment range is between 6 - 31 miles per hour for the WIND and between 0 to 50 kilolux for the SUN By using the TELIS SOLIRIS RTS transmitter, it is possible to configure the functioning of the receiver (wind only or wind/sun). Please refer to the TELIS SOLIRIS RTS operating instructions. A short UP/DOWN movement of the awning indicates the modification of the sensor settings.
SUN Function
(Intermediate Position) When the intensity of the daylight exceeds the threshold set by the SOLIRIS RTS sensor, a DOWN order is sent to the awning after 2 minutes.
The awning goes to the intermediate position IP, (see the motor installation instructions) or to its down end limit position if no intermediate position has been memorized.
When the daylight IP level falls below the threshold setting, a variable time delay from 15 to 30 minutes is activated (depending on the sun prescence duration).
This feature avoids frequent movements of the awning on cloudy days.
After this time delay, an UP order is given to the awning.
Any manual command given during this cycle will override the automatic after 15 to 30 min. operation. The SOLIRIS RTS sensor will not then function automatically until the daylight exceeds the threshold limit again.
WIND Function
When the wind speed exceeds the threshold set by the SOLIRIS RTS sensor, an UP after 2 sec. order is given to the awning after 2 seconds As long as the measured wind speed is higher than the adjusted threshold, all commands are prevented from operating. (manual control or automatic control).
When the wind speed falls below the threshold setting, the SUN function remains inoperable for 12 minutes, after after although it is possible 12 min. 30 sec. after 30 seconds, to give an order with the RTS Transmitter.
DEMO Mode
The mode is selected by turning the wind potentiometer clockwise to the limit. In this mode all time delays are reduced to facilitate installation. The wind threshold is 6 mph.
TIME DELAYS
This is the elapsed time required for the motor to respond automatically or manually (using the transmitter) to the change in sun or wind conditions. Normal mode Demo mode SUN appearing timing SUN disappearing timing WIND appearing timing WIND disappearing timing* 2 min. 15 to 30 min. 2 sec. 12 min. * It is possible after 30 sec. to give a down order with the RTS transmitter 10 sec. 15 sec. 2 sec. 15 sec.
The change of setting "In" or "Out" of the Demo Mode is confirmed with a brief Jog of the motor. This function can be used to confirm that the sensor is communicating with the motor's receiver. NOTE: Do not leave RTS sensor in demo mode when installation is completed.

Sun protection with electrical drive!
Its standard with weinor! Most weinor products are equipped with an electrical drive in the shape of an electric motor which is concealed within the fabric roller of the awning. The awning responds at the touch of a button. A convenient and smart solution. Even more conveniently, these sun awnings can be operated by radio frequency. weinor offers two product ranges for remote control system; the RTS System from Somfy which is described in the following pages and weinors WeiTronic System (see separate chapter). The two systems are not compatible with each other.

Controls without RTS
Automatic sun and wind sensors for motor-operated awnings (without RTS)
The controls can also be combined with a
as well as with a thermostat for conservatory awnings.
Somfy Soliris Controls automatically controls the motordriven awnings. The sun and wind sensors have a control unit which processes the data from the sensors and from which the awning can also be operated manually.
rain sensor
The dynamic time delay unit within the controls prevents frequent extension and retraction of the awning during cloudy weather, but still reacts immediately to rain and storm conditions.
Group controls GS 3 + GS 300p This enables 3 or 4 motor drive systems to be operated simultaneously via one operating point or control unit. The individual operation of one specific awning is not possible, however. The group control system is available in a ZA housing or as a printed circuit board. By connecting several of these group controls together up to 12 separate drive systems can be operated simultaneously.
Centralis Uno IB motor control unit for individual control Alongside the central control function performed by the automatic sun and wind sensors, this control unit enables individual awnings to be manually operated from a central control point. For each individual awning drive system one Centralis Uno IB control is required. The central controller and the motor control units are
linked via a low voltage control circuit to operate the awning drive mechanism commands. Centralis control units can be disconnected from the central controller so that only the individual local operation of each awning is possible. Each Centralis control unit has the facility for a chosen comfort position to be set. Compatibility CD 8000 <> Centralis Uno IB.

RTS controls for motor-operated awnings (with RTS motor)
The Somfy RTS motor The receiver is already integrated into the RTS motor. weinor uses the Altus RTS or Orea RTS types of motors. They are operated by the hand-held Telis 1 RTS Pure, Telis 4 RTS Pure and Telis Soliris RTS Pure transmitters and by the wall-mounted Centralis RTS transmitter. Shown below is a selection of possible combinations.
Controls for one awning and/or for the simultaneous operation of a number of awnings The hand-held Telis 1 RTS Pure transmitter is able, as a group controller, to operate a number of RTS motors simultaneously (up to 16). Alternatively or additionally, the wall-mounted Centralis RTS transmitter can also be used.
Individual control of up to five separate awnings The hand-held Telis 4 RTS Pure transmitter fulfills the individual operating function within the range of the RTS motors. Up to five motors can be individually controlled via this transmitter. Several motors can be operated centrally per channel. Should twelve awning drive motors need to be operated, for example, then three motors per channel are operated simultaneously.
