| The Walkman series have been around for awhile now. But this is the first time Sony has incorporated Bluetooth into its player. Sure its a good idea. I recently bought this mp3 after running out of room for music on my old mp3. | |

| this is a great mp3 player that can player all types of music files frm aatrac, windows media files and ur standard mp3 files. Being a Sony, this MP3 player is blessed with a slim, modern and elegant styling. As usual, it has the Walkman logo centre in the middle. | |

TABLE OF CONTENTS UNLEADED SOLDER Boards requiring use of unleaded solder are printed with the leadfree mark (LF) indicating the solder contains no lead. (Caution: Some printed circuit boards may not come printed with the lead free mark due to their particular size) : LEAD FREE MARK Unleaded solder has the following characteristics. Unleaded solder melts at a temperature about 40 C higher than ordinary solder. Ordinary soldering irons can be used but the iron tip has to be applied to the solder joint for a slightly longer time. Soldering irons using a temperature regulator should be set to about 350 C. Caution: The printed pattern (copper foil) may peel away if the heated tip is applied for too long, so be careful! Strong viscosity Unleaded solder is more viscous (sticky, less prone to ow) than ordinary solder so use caution not to let solder bridges occur such as on IC pins, etc. Usable with ordinary solder It is best to use only unleaded solder but unleaded solder may also be added to ordinary solder. NOTE THE CN601, CN602, IC301, IC302, IC305, IC453, IC501, IC503, IC508, IC509, IC601, IC602, IC701, IC751, IC752, IC901, IC902 AND IC903 ON THE MAIN BOARD REPLACING CN601, CN602, IC301, IC302, IC305, IC453, IC501, IC503, IC508, IC509, IC601, IC602, IC701, IC751, IC752, IC901, IC902 and IC903 on the MAIN board cannot exchange with single. When CN601, CN602, IC301, IC302, IC305, IC453, IC501, IC503, IC508, IC509, IC601, IC602, IC701, IC751, IC752, IC901, IC902 and IC903 on the MAIN board are damaged, exchange the entire mounted board. NOTE THE CN801, CN881 AND IC801 ON THE SW BOARD REPLACING CN801, CN881 and IC801 on the SW board cannot exchange with single. When CN801, CN881 and IC801 on the SW board are damaged, exchange the entire mounted board.
Bluetooth Specifications (continued)
Supported Codecs*3: SBC (Subband Codec) Transmission range (A2DP): 20 - 20,000Hz (Sampling frequency 44.1kHz) *1 The actual range will vary depending on factors such as obstacles between devices, magnetic fields, static electricity, reception sensitivity, antenna (aerial) performance, operating system, software application, etc. *2 Bluetooth profiles are standardized according to the purpose of the Bluetooth device. *3 Codec indicates the audio signal compression and conversion format.

Notes on chip component replacement Never reuse a disconnected chip component. Notice that the minus side of a tantalum capacitor may be damaged by heat. Flexible Circuit Board Repairing Keep the temperature of soldering iron around 270 C during repairing. Do not touch the soldering iron on the same conductor of the circuit board (within 3 times). Be careful not to apply force on the conductor when soldering or unsoldering.
CAUTION Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
