P150 is a 7 million-pixel resolution of the compact camera, its excellent image quality, robust performance, outstanding battery capacity.

J bought on EBAY this camera for 100 USD (75 euros). It is a very good One. J tested several cameras as this one, but more recently. No matter what people post, I still love my P150. It might not have the most features and does suffer from the occasional bad picture or so.

Replacement Camera This camera replaced a lost camera of the same model. This camera was listed at almost new. It was fantastic... Junk When it did work, for about a month, it was ok. Very sensitive to movement, but ok. After I took it with me on a trip I got blurry.

This is a great camera to put in your purse or pocket and not worry about lugging around something bigger. I bought a black Vs. silver and can honestly say that the black camera looks much nicer than the silver one.

Outdoor Only With good light this camera is very nice but for indoor flash it is completely useless. Tendency to get dust on the sensor The camera (along with the other P-series) has a well-known tendency to get dust on the sensor.

1. Introduction

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P150 Review Simon Joinson, September 2004
Review based on a production Sony DSC-P150 Announced in July 2004, The DSC-P150 is Sony's latest salvo in the megapixel wars, and the first truly compact 7 megapixel camera. It's based closely on the current DSC-P100, with the only differences resolution aside - being the brushed metal casing. With 7 million pixels and a 3x Carl Zeiss lens squeezed into a body around 1" thick, the P150 is sure to appeal to those who want to pack a lot of power into their pocket.

Notes: This list includes camera models, which can be used with the Swarovski Optik digital camera adapter DCA. Swarovski Optik doesn't assume liability or responsibility for pictures taken with the above mentioned camera models. List is subject to alterations. In case you use a camera not listed yet, please inform us about manufacturer, brand and type. (info@swarovskioptik.at, subject: Digiscoping) In case you plan to purchase a digital camera for use with a telescope ("digiscoping"), which is not list yet, please test the camera with the scope and the adapter first! The camera needs to be connected to the DCA and must be able to prevent "vignetting" (black shadows at the edge of the image) by using the optical zoom (not the digital zoom!) of the camera.

Full description

Sony's new Cyber-shot DSC-P150 is the world's first compact point-and-shoot digital camera in the marketplace loaded with 7.2 megapixels, putting breathtaking, near-professional-quality photos in your shirt pocket or handbag. The P150 camera yields an image size of 3072 x 2304 - making it the first pocketable camera capable of capturing enough pixels to make 300-dpi 8" x 10" enlargements. The P150 has also been empowered with Sony's own recently introduced Real Imaging Processor circuitry that ensures fast start-up and shot-to-shot times, and puts extra speed and performance behind automatic features such as auto focus and auto exposure. That means you'll never miss that one-in-a-million shot because the camera is always ready to take great pictures. The Cyber-shot P150 digital camera is equipped with features typically found only on more full-sized cameras. At just 1 inch thin, it's easy to hold, use, and carry with you in your pocket or purse. The Cyber-shot P150 features a Carl Zeiss Vario Tessar 3X optical zoom lens to complement and maximize the benefit of the camera's high resolution. The P150 also has a bird-like appetite when it comes to consuming battery power. With up to 310 shots per charge of the InfoLithium battery the Cyber-shot P150 lets you snap away and preview images on the 1.8-inch LCD screen without fear of running down the charge. Beyond the easy point-and-shoot features, the Cyber-shot P150 also has manual flash and exposure settings, and nine preset scene modes such as twilight, landscape, snow, beach and fireworks, letting the user quickly select the best setting based on shooting conditions.
