On the Exposure Bracket
The focus and white balance are adjusted for the first image, and these settings are also used for the other images. When the exposure is manually adjusted (page 41), the exposure is shifted based on the adjusted brightness. The recording interval is approximately 0.5 seconds (DSC-W90) or 0.4 seconds (DSC-W80/W85). If the subject is too bright or too dark, you may be unable to shoot properly with the selected bracket step value. You may not be able to shoot images in the Exposure Bracket mode depending on the Scene Selection mode (page 28).
Color Mode: Changing the vividness of the image or adding special effects
You can change the brightness of the image, accompanied by effects.
(Normal)
(Vivid)
Sets the image to bright and deep color.
(Natural)
Sets the image to quiet color.
(Sepia)
Sets the image to sepia color.

High ISO sensitivity
Selects a luminous sensitivity with units of ISO. The larger the number, the higher the sensitivity.
Select a large number when shooting in dark locations or shooting a subject moving at high speed, or select a small number to obtain high image quality. Using functions for shooting
For details on the ISO sensitivity, see page 8. Note that the image tends to become noisier as the ISO sensitivity number increases. [ISO] is set to [Auto] in the Scene Selection mode. When shooting under brighter conditions, the camera automatically increases its tone reproduction and helps prevent images to become whitish (excluding when [ISO] is set to [ISO 100]).
EV: Adjusting the light intensity
Manually adjusts the exposure.
Toward
Toward + Toward : Darkens an image. The exposure is determined automatically by the camera. Toward +: Brightens an image.
2.0EV 0EV +2.0EV
For details on the Exposure, see page 8. The compensation value can be set in 1/3EV increments. If a subject is being shot in extremely bright or dark conditions, or the flash is used, the exposure adjustment may not be effective.
Metering Mode: Selecting the metering mode
Selects the metering mode that sets which part of the subject to measure to determine the exposure.
(Multi)
Divides into multiple regions and measures each region. The camera determines a well-balanced exposure (Multi-pattern metering). Measures the center of the image, and determines the exposure based on the brightness of the subject there (Centerweighted metering). Measures only a part of the subject (Spot metering).
Toward : Makes the flash level lower.
Toward +: Makes the flash level higher.
Red Eye Reduction: Reducing the red-eye phenomenon
The flash strobes two or more times before shooting to reduce the red-eye phenomenon when using the flash.
(Auto) (On) (Off)
Reduces the red-eye phenomenon whenever necessary, only when using the Face Detection Function. The flash always strobes to reduce the red-eye phenomenon. Does not use Red Eye Reduction.
Because it takes about a second until the shutter clicks, hold the camera firmly to prevent the effects of vibration. Also, do not let the subject move. Red-eye reduction may not produce the desired effects depending on individual differences, the distance to the subject, if the subject does not see the pre-strobe, or other conditions. In such a case, you can correct the red-eye phenomenon using [Retouch] in the viewing menu after shooting (page 52). When the Face Detection function is not used, the Red Eye Reduction will not function even when [Auto] is selected.
SteadyShot: Selecting the anti-blur mode
Selects the anti-blur mode.
(Shooting) (Continuous)
Activates the anti-blur function when pressing the shutter button halfway down. Using functions for shooting Always activates the anti-blur function. You can stabilize images even when zooming up a far subject.
Battery consumption is faster than in [Shooting] mode.
Does not use anti-blur mode.
In Auto Adjustment mode, [SteadyShot] will be set to [Shooting]. For movies, the options are limited to [Continuous] and [Off]. The default setting is set to [Continuous]. The anti-blur function may not work properly in the following cases. When camera shake is too strong When the shutter speed is slow, for example, shooting night scenes

the following: Delete unnecessary images (page 31). Change the Memory Stick Duo. You are using the Memory Stick Duo with a write-protect switch, and the switch is set to the LOCK position. Set the switch to the recording position (page 113). You cannot record images while charging the flash. When shooting a still image, set the mode dial to a position other than.
Notes on using Memory Stick PRO Duo (not supplied)
Memory Stick PRO Duo with a capacity up to 8 GB have been confirmed to operate properly with this camera.
Notes on using Memory Stick Micro (not supplied)
To use a Memory Stick Micro with this camera, be sure to insert the Memory Stick Micro into an M2 Adaptor as large as of Duo size. If you insert a Memory Stick Micro into the camera without an M2 Adaptor as large as of Duo size, you might not be able to remove it from the camera. Do not leave the Memory Stick Micro within the reach of small children. They might accidentally swallow it.
On the battery pack
On charging the battery pack
We recommend charging the battery pack in an ambient temperature of between 10C to 30C (50F to 86F). You may not be able to efficiently charge the battery pack outside of this temperature range. The battery life varies according to how it is stored and the operating conditions and environment in which each battery pack is used.
Effective use of the battery pack
Battery performance decreases in low temperature surroundings. So, the time that the battery pack can be used is shorter in cold places. We recommend the following to ensure longer battery pack use: Put the battery pack in a pocket close to your body to warm it up, and insert it in your camera immediately before you start shooting. The battery pack will run out quickly if you use the flash or zoom frequently. We recommend having spare battery packs handy for two or three times the expected shooting time, and making trial shots before taking the actual shots. Do not expose the battery pack to water. The battery pack is not water-resistant. Do not leave the battery pack in extremely hot places, such as in a car or under direct sunlight.
How to store the battery pack
If the battery pack is not to be used for a long time, fully charge it and then fully use it up once a year on your camera before storing the battery pack in a dry, cool place. Repeat this charging and using up once a year to maintain the battery packs function. To use the battery pack up, leave your camera in slide show (page 48) playback mode until the power goes off. To prevent staining the terminal, shortcircuiting, etc., be sure to use a supplied battery case when carrying and storing.
On battery life
The battery life is limited. Battery capacity decreases little by little as you use it more and more, and as time passes. If the battery operating time seems shortened considerably, a probable cause is that the battery pack has reached the end of its life. Buy a new battery pack.
On the battery charger
Do not charge any other battery pack other than the NP-BG type battery packs in the battery charger supplied with your camera. Batteries other than the specified kind may leak, overheat, or explode if you attempt to charge them, posing a risk of injury from electrocution and burns. Remove the charged battery pack from the battery charger. If you leave the charged battery pack in the charger, battery life may be shortened. When the CHARGE lamp flashes, this may indicate a battery error or that a battery pack other than the specified type have been inserted. Check that the battery pack is the specified type. If the battery pack is the specified type, remove the battery pack, replace it with new one or another one and check if the battery charger operates correctly. If the battery charger operates correctly, a battery error may have occurred. If the battery charger is dirty, charging may not be performed successfully. Clean the battery charger with dry cloth, etc.

DSC-T200/R
Cyber-shot Digital Still Camera
With slim vertical design in three fashion colors and a giant 3.51 Widescreen touch-panel LCD that fills the camera back, the DSC-T200 captures your attention before it even takes a shot. 8.1 MP imaging, Carl Zeiss 5X Optical zoom lens and special features like Face Detection and Smile Shutter Mode help you bring out the best in everyone -- and the Sony Double Anti-Blur Solution delivers sharp color images even in low light. With HD Output2 , you can also share images in high definition on your Sony Bravia HDTV or other compatible HDTV screen. Sleek, Slim-Line Vertical Design The ultra-compact DSC-T200 has an elegant look all its own -- in shining silver, matte black or deep red, with vertical styling and a huge 3.Widescreen touch-panel LCD that fills up the entire back of the camera and replaces function buttons with elegant on-screen icons. 8.1 MP Super HAD CCD More megapixels give you more detail and definition when you make big prints or crop in tight on your subject. The advanced Sony Super HAD (Hole Accumulated Diode) CCD design allows more light to pass to each pixel, increasing sensitivity and reducing noise. Carl Zeiss 5X Optical Zoom Lens Design. 5X Optical zoom brings you even closer to the action, for great action shots, distant landscape views and dramatic portraits. An ingenious Carl Zeiss lens design uses internal zooming, so even at full zoom the lens doesnt project beyond the ultra-slim camera body. The Sony Double Anti-Blur Solution With Super SteadyShot optical image stabilization and high sensitivity (ISO 3200), the DSC-T200 compensates for shaky hands, minimizes blur and allows flash-free shooting to preserve the mood -- and Sony Clear RAW Noise Reduction reduces the picture noise that can ruin low-light shots. 3.51 Widescreen Clear Photo LCD Plus Display The DSC-T200 puts a huge 3.Widescreen LCD in the palm of your hand, with Clear Photo LCD Plus design that displays photos in superb clarity and natural color -- with AR (antireflective) coating for excellent visibility even in bright sunlight. Touch-Screen Operation The DSC-T200s Widescreen touch-panel LCD replaces small buttons with simple on-screen icons and a user-friendly interface that make camera operation faster and simpler. In shooting mode, you can touch any point on screen to focus on the person or object youve selected -- and touch and zoom in playback mode to concentrate on your subject. Simple Icon Setup Controls To the left and right of the image area on your widescreen display, simple icons allow quick touch-screen operation of essential camera functions. The icons can be switched off to provide a full 16:9 widescreen view of your photos -- and the on-screen Function Guide display helps you learn camera setup operations. Face Detection Because the face makes the photo, Sony has created Face Detection technology that recognizes up to 8 faces in a photo and automatically controls focus, exposure, color and flash to bring out the best in everyone. Unlike some competitive systems, Sony Face Detection makes skin tones look more natural and reduces red-eye with pre-strobe flash. Smile Shutter Mode In Smile Shutter Mode, the DSC-T200 helps you capture more smiles by shooting automatically when your subject laughs, smiles, even grins - only when focus is fixed. You select the person to watch and the expression to catch -- your Cyber-shot cameras Face Detection system and intelligent Smile Shutter algorithm do the rest! HD Slide Show with Music Its the high-definition viewing experience that makes photos more entertaining to watch, accompanied by your choice of visual effects and any of four preset musical selections stored in memory or your favorite music downloaded from PC to your camera for use as background music4. 9-Point Auto Focus Because an off-center subject can make your shot more interesting, the DSC-T200 can measure auto-focus precision at 9 points on your screen -- giving you greater creative freedom to compose your image. D-Range Optimization Powered by the exclusive Sony Bionz high-speed processing engine, D-Range Optimization preserves image data in bright highlights and reveals more detail in shadows or backlit areas -- for great results even in difficult lighting conditions. In-Camera Retouching The DSC-T200 lets you add 8 creative effects to photos after you shoot -including new radial blur effect, retro color tint and trimming function along with soft edge filter to soften backgrounds, cross filter to place starry dazzles at highlight points, partial color filter to
