Sony Learn to Earn Retail Employee Personal Usage Program
Sony Electronics, Inc. is offering this Personal Usage Program to eligible employees of an authorized dealer or distributor having a current Dealer Agreement on file with Sony. Under this program, participants may purchase eligible Sony products from their place of employment and receive a rebate by mail, as set forth herein. Program Period: May 1, 2009 through March 31, 2010 Eligibility: Any person employed by an authorized dealer/distributor having a signed Dealer/Distributor Agreement. Program participants will be required to complete the associated CyberScholar training module(s) for the product(s) they wish to purchase (modules located at www.cyberscholar.com/sony). Once the module is passed, the user may purchase the Eligible Product, and request a Learn to Earn rebate by completing and sending in the Sony Learn to Earn Usage Program Official Claim Form (included in this document, and available at www.cyberscholar.com/sony/L2E.cfm), along with: o o o The original carton label cut out from the carton that includes the UPC code, model number and serial number (no photocopies of the label will be accepted) A copy of the purchase receipt, with the item and purchase price circled Printed certificate of completion for the appropriate Sony CyberScholar training module
Permission from participants employer is required prior to participating in the program. Participants may only receive a Learn to Earn rebate for Eligible Products their employer is authorized to resell under its current Dealer Agreement with Sony.
Limitations: Participants may only receive a maximum of one rebate per product category, i.e. 1) Television product, 1) Home Audio product, 1) Home Video product, 1) Camcorder product, 1) DSC product, 1) DSLR camera product, and/or 1) DSLR Lens product during a single 12-month period, as counted from the date of purchase for each product. Eligible Products must be purchased from the participants employer at their employee discounted price. The products purchased under this Program are for personal use only, are not eligible for resale and must be kept in the participants possession for a period of at least 12 months from date of purchase.
Rebates/Models: Participants may receive a rebate for the specific value offered under the Learn to Earn program for the model purchased. See the Eligible Product charts on the following page(s) for more details. Eligible Product models will be available only while supplies last. Additional Terms: Any deliberate violation of the program rules listed here constitutes fraud, and may result in the Participant being prosecuted at the discretion of Sony. The Participant will also be blocked from any further rebates under the Learn to Earn program. Fraudulent submissions could result in Federal prosecution under U.S. Mail Fraud Statutes (18 USC, Sections 1341 and 1342). Offer void where taxed, prohibited or restricted by law. Offer good only a) on purchases in the fifty states of the United States and D.C. and b) to current U.S. residents only. Exception for U.S. military personnel overseas. Sony Electronics Inc. is not responsible for late, lost or misdirected mail. Claim forms postmarked more than 60 days after purchase will not be honored. Sony rebate checks are ordinarily delivered within 6-8 weeks. Rebate checks are void if not cashed within 90 days of issuance and cannot be reissued. Sony reserves the right to audit any claims by contacting the store and to nullify any claims that cannot be substantiated. All submitted claim information becomes the property of Sony. Sony is not responsible for late, lost or misdirected mail. Sony Electronics, Inc. is offering the Learn to Earn Personal Usage Program to eligible employees of an authorized dealer or distributor having a current Dealer/Distributor Agreement on file with Sony. Under this program, eligible participants may complete specified training modules online at www.cyberscholar.com/sony in order to receive a rebate value on eligible Sony products. All eligible products, rebate values and corresponding required training modules can be found online at www.cyberscholar.com/sony. The program is valid May 1, 2009 March 31, 2010.

Participants may only purchase Eligible Product if their employer is authorized to resell that product under its current Sony Dealer Agreement. Requirements: Program participants will be required to complete the specified CyberScholar training module(s) for the product(s) they wish to purchase (modules and rebate values located at www.cyberscholar.com/sony), prior to purchasing the product. Sony reserves the right to audit any claims by contacting the store and will nullify any claims that cannot be substantiated. Limitations: Limit of one rebate per person per product category during a single 12-month period, as counted from the date of purchase for each product. The products purchased under this program are for personal use only, are not eligible for resale and must be kept in the participants possession for a period of at least 12 months from date of purchase. Any deliberate violation of the program rules listed here constitutes fraud, and will result in the Participant being prosecuted at the discretion of Sony. The Participant will also be blocked from any further purchases under the Learn to Earn program. Sony rebate checks are ordinarily delivered within 6-8 weeks after receipt of the rebate request form.
