MARLENA
43.90m (144.03ft) | Trinity Yachts | 1998
Luxury Yacht Marlena for Sale
The Marlena began as a 132' LOA sportfishing yacht built by Trinity Yachts of New Orleans, Louisiana. She was custom built for an avid fisherman of Long Island, NY and went into service in 1999. At the time of her launch, she was the largest sportfishing yacht in the world. In November of 2003 she was purchased by a new owner and relocated to Spain for an extensive refit and extension. This refit converted the vessel to a luxury sport yacht with an overall length of 144' (44M). Price

DESCRIPTION
The Marlena is powered by 2 Paxman VP185 engines from England rated at 3,500 horsepower each. This gives the Marlena a comfortable cruising speed of 23 knots and a top speed of 26 knots. She carries 9,800 gallons of fuel and burns approximately 275 gph at cruising speed. This gives her a range of about 800 NM including reserve fuel for an additional 100 NM at a cruising speed of 23 knots. For long deliveries, a hull speed of 12 knots on a single engine will extend her range to about 1400 NM. For electrical power she is equipped with 2 Northern Lights 55 KW 208/115 VAC 60 Hz, 3 phase generator sets. Each is capable of handling the entire yachts electrical needs independently. Her bow thruster is electric and requires the full power of one generator while the other maintains house power. The vessel is equipped with a ASEA 75kva power converter capable of inputting shore power from VAC, Hz, 3 phase 200 amps max. The outlets throughout the yacht are 115 VAC 60 Hz. Fresh water capacity is 2400 gallons and is supplied either through shore facilities or by two reverse osmosis watermaker producing over 2500 gallons per day. The Marlenas tender is a 5.85M Ribcraft built for diving. It is launched starboard side only via the MarQuipt davit. Additionally, one Yamaha and one SeaDoo jet skis are carried forward. Additional equipment includes a cockpit refrigerated fish box supplied with crushed ice by their own on board icemaker, aft underwater lights, built in swim platform, and a lighted glass-paned aquarium in the transom. Though serious sport fishing is her heritage, the interior is yacht quality throughout. The lower decks consist of the master stateroom amidships with 4 guest cabins forward. The crew quarters are aft of the engine room with berths for 6 plus captains cabin. On the main deck are an aft outer settee overlooking the cockpit, the main saloon, a formal dining saloon, and the galley/crew mess. The pilothouse deck consists of the main helm station and associated equipment, port and starboard helm stations, sky lounge, and aft outer al fresco dining area, and large Jacuzzi with sun beds. Above this is the Flybridge deck consisting of fore and aft facing helm stations with forward and aft settee areas. Forward of the main helm station is a large sun pad lounge.

If the player is set up to output the signal from the DIGITAL OUT (OPTICAL or COAXIAL) jack, the surround effect will be heard only when DOLBY DIGITAL and DTS are set to D-PCM and MPEG is set to PCM in AUDIO SETUP(page 86). TVS DYNAMIC Creates one set of virtual rear speakers from the sound of the front speakers (L, R) without using actual rear speakers (shown below). This mode is effective when the distance between the front L and R speakers is short, such as with built-in speakers on a stereo TV.

Troubleshooting
If you experience any of the following difficulties while using the player, use this troubleshooting guide to help remedy the problem before requesting repairs. Should any problem persist, consult your nearest Sony dealer.
, Even if your TV is compatible with progressive format 525p/625p signals, the image may be affected when you set the player to progressive format. In this case, select NORMAL (INTERLACE) using the PROGRESSIVE button on the front panel display so that the PROGRESSIVE indicator turns off and the player is set to normal (interlace) format. , If you set LINE to RGB in SCREEN SETUP (page 28, 82), the player outputs no component video signals. , The VIDEO OFF function takes effect (DVD-NS955V only).
The power is not turned on.
, Check that the mains lead is connected securely.
The picture does not fill the screen, even though the aspect ratio is set in TV TYPE under SCREEN SETUP.
, The aspect ratio of the disc is fixed on your DVD.
Picture
There is no picture/picture noise appears.
, Re-connect the connecting cord securely. , The connecting cords are damaged. , Check the connection to your TV (page 17) and switch the input selector on your TV so that the signal from the player appears on the TV screen. , Set LINE in SCREEN SETUP to an item appropriate for your system (page 82). , The disc is dirty or flawed. , If the picture output from your player goes through your VCR to get to your TV or if you are connected to a combination TV/ VIDEO player, the copy-protection signal applied to some DVD programmes could affect picture quality. If you still experience problems even when you connect your player directly to your TV, try connecting your player to your TVs S VIDEO input (page 17). , The disc is recorded in a colour system that is different from your TV. , You have selected PROGRESSIVE (AUTO) or PROGRESSIVE (VIDEO) using the PROGRESSIVE button on the front panel (the PROGRESSIVE indicator lights up) even though your TV cannot accept the progressive signal. In this case, select NORMAL (INTERLACE) so that the PROGRESSIVE indicator turns off.
The picture is black and white.
, Set LINE in SCREEN SETUP to an item appropriate for your TV (page 82). , Depending on the TV, the picture on the screen becomes black and white when you play a disc recorded in the NTSC colour system. , If you are using a SCART cord, be sure to use one that is fully wired (21-pins).
DVD VIDEO (page 6)
A disc that contains up to 8 hours of moving pictures even though its diameter is the same as a CD. The data capacity of a single-layer and singlesided DVD is 4.7 GB (Giga Byte), which is 7 times that of a CD. The data capacity of a double-layer and single-sided DVD is 8.5 GB, a single-layer and double-sided DVD is 9.4 GB, and double-layer and double-sided DVD is 17 GB. The picture data uses the MPEG 2 format, a worldwide standard of digital compression technology. The picture data is compressed to about 1/40 (average) of its original size. The DVD also uses a variable rate coding technology that changes the data to be allocated according to the status of the picture. Audio information is recorded in a multi-channel format, such as Dolby Digital, allowing you to enjoy a more realistic audio presence. Furthermore, various advanced functions such as the multi-angle, multilingual, and Parental Control functions are provided with the DVD.
DivX (page 70)
Digital video technology created by DivXNetworks, Inc. Videos encoded with DivX technology are among the highest quality with a relatively small file size.
Dolby Digital (page 21, 86)
Digital audio compression technology developed by Dolby Laboratories. This technology conforms to multi-channel surround sound. The rear channel is stereo and there is a discrete subwoofer channel in this format. Dolby Digital provides the same discrete channels of high quality digital audio found in Dolby Digital theatre surround sound systems. Good channel separation is realized because all of the channel data is recorded discretely and little deterioration is realized because all channel data processing is digital.
Dolby Surround (Pro Logic) (page 21)
Audio signal processing technology that Dolby Laboratories developed for surround sound. When the input signal contains a surround component, the Pro Logic process outputs the front, centre and rear signals. The rear channel is monaural.
DVD-RW (page 6)
A DVD-RW is a recordable and rewritable disc that is the same size as a DVD VIDEO. The DVD-RW has two different modes: VR mode and Video mode. DVD-RWs created in Video mode have the same format as a DVD VIDEO, while discs created in VR (Video Recording) mode allow the contents to be programmed or edited.
DVD+RW (page 6)
A DVD+RW (plus RW) is a recordable and rewritable disc. DVD+RWs use a recording format that is comparable to the DVD VIDEO format.
Progressive format (page 19)
Compared to the Interlace format that alternately shows every other line of an image (field) to create one frame, the Progressive format shows the entire image at once as a single frame. This means that while the Interlace format can show 25 or 30 frames (50-60 fields) in one second, the Progressive format can show 50-60 frames in one second. The overall picture quality increases and still images, text, and horizontal lines appear sharper. This player is compatible with the 525 or 625 progressive format.
File (page 62, 65)
A JPEG image recorded on a DATA CD or a DivX video on a DATA CD/DATA DVD (File is an exclusive definition for this player.) A single file consist of a single image or movie.
Film based software, Video based software (page 19)
DVDs can be classified as Film based or Video based software. Film based DVDs contain the same images (24 frames per second) that are shown at movie theatres. Video based DVDs, such as television dramas or sit-coms, displays images at 30 frames/60 fields (24 frames/50 fields) per second.
Progressive JPEG
Progressive JPEGs are used mostly on the internet. They are different from other JPEGs in that they fade in gradually instead of being drawn from top to bottom when displayed on a browser. This lets you view the image while it is being downloaded.
Scene (page 10)
On a VIDEO CD with PBC (playback control) functions, the menu screens, moving pictures and still pictures are divided into sections called scenes.
MPEG audio (page 21, 86)
International standard coding system used to compress audio digital signals authorized by ISO/IEC. MPEG 1 conforms to up to 2channel stereo. MPEG 2, used on DVDs, conforms to up to 7.1-channel surround.
Super Audio CD (page 6)
A Super Audio CD disc can reproduce sounds that are extremely faithful to the original sound by use of DSD (Direct Stream Digital) technology. This technology utilizes a sampling frequency of 2.8224 MHz, which is 64 times that of a conventional CD, and 1-bit quantization that enables the disc to hold 4 times the amount of information that a standard PCM format CD can hold. Super Audio CDs are divided into the following types. Super Audio CD (single layer disc) This disc consists of a single HD layer*.
*High density signal layer for the Super Audio CD HD (high density) layer
