| Handsfree I already had a Sony Ericsson handset so I thought it would be appropriate to buy the same brand of car kit. Fixed handsfree system for my Sony Ericsson T610, a unit that both charges the handset as well as acts as the handsfree device. | |

Introduction
The Bluetooth Car Handsfree HCB-30 is based on Bluetooth wireless technology. See Safe and efficient use on page 14 and Limited Warranty on page 15 before using your car handsfree. What is Bluetooth wireless technology? The Bluetooth wireless technology makes it possible to connect any compatible portable and stationary communications device within a range of 10 m (30 ft) without using cables. The technology is based on a radio link that offers fast and reliable transmission of voice and data information. It does not require a line-of-sight connection in order to establish communication. Bluetooth wireless technology uses a globally available frequency range intended to ensure communication compatibility worldwide.
How can I use my car handsfree? When you turn the ignition key of your car, the Bluetooth car handsfree is switched on automatically. The phone can be left in your coat pocket or bag while you make and answer calls via the Bluetooth car handsfree control panel. The car stereo is muted when you receive a call, and you hear the caller in a separate loudspeaker.
What products can I use with my car handsfree? With the Bluetooth Car Handsfree HCB-30, you can use a Sony Ericsson or Ericsson phone with built-in Bluetooth capability, or with a Bluetooth phone adapter. You can use products that support the Bluetooth Headset profile or the Bluetooth Handsfree profile. To enhance your experience of the Bluetooth Car Handsfree HCB-30, we recommend that you also buy an advanced music mute and a gooseneck microphone. Advanced Music Mute HCE-16 for enhanced sound experience in the car. You hear the caller in the car stereo loudspeakers instead of in the separate loudspeaker.
Gooseneck Microphone HCE-14 for enhanced sound experience for the person you are talking to. You can, for example, also use the following accessories with your phone and Bluetooth Car Handsfree HCB-30: Cigarette Lighter Adapter CLA-11 for charging of the phone in the car. Antenna Cable Connector HCE-12 together with a car holder for better network reception. Car Holder, for example, HCH-28 together with an antenna cable connector for better network reception.
