1/4" Advanced HAD CCD Imager, 680K Pixels Gross 1/4" CCD with 340K (effective) pixels provides stunning detail and clarity, with exceptional video and still image performance. Realize good looking digital still images utilizing 340K (effective) pixels. Advanced HAD CCD Technology The Advanced HAD (Hole Accumulation Diode) enhanced CCD design allows for more light to reach the imager which reduces video noise to improve signal-tonoise ratio by up to 6dB (2X better than a standard CCD imager). Particularly effective when shooting in dark situations. Up to 500 Lines of Horizontal Resolution Sonys Advanced HAD CCD technology, combined with Carl Zeiss optics, provide outstanding video performance with up to 500 horizontal lines of resolution.
2.5" SwivelScreen LCD Display (123K Pixels) The 2.5" SwivelScreen LCD display provides excellent viewing clarity with improved resolution. The 123K pixel LCD rotates up to 270-degrees for multiple viewing angles providing sharp detailed images for monitoring or playback. Super SteadyShot Picture Stabilization System An advanced version of Sonys SteadyShot system that controls an even higher range of shake and vibration frequencies, to achieve an even higher level of smoothness without degradation of video like some other image stabilization systems. Digital Still Memory Mode with Memory Stick Media Digital Still Memory Mode captures high quality still images at 640 x 480 resolution, directly onto Memory Stick media. Images are stored in a JPEG format providing easy transfer to PCs for emailing, printing, or sharing with family and friends. MPEG Movie EX Mode Unlike other MPEG1 movies, MPEG Movie EX will allow you to record uninterrupted to the full capacity of the Memory Stick media. For example, the 128MB Memory Stick media will record up to 85 minutes of non-stop MPEG videos. i.LINK* DV Interface (IEEE1394) A high speed bi-directional digital video/audio communication between two devices equipped with a IEEE 1394 interface, including camcorders, digital VCRs, and PCs.
Analog-to-Digital Conversion with Pass-Through Convert and/or record any analog NTSC video source to digital video via the analog inputs. Analog NTSC video can also be passed-through the Digital Handycam camcorders directly into a PC via the i.LINK interface in real time for easy PC editing of your analog footage. Super NightShot and Color Slow Shutter With Sonys Super NightShot, capture video in total darkness (0 lux) up to 10 feet away. Super NightShot 0 Lux Recording mode automatically adjusts the shutter speed to increase picture brightness and clarity. Color Slow Shutter mode allows you to record in low light situations with full color detail by slowing down the shutter speed.

High-performance LED Video Light
HVL-LBPA Wide compatibility for flexible installation
The HVL-LBPA can be attached three ways:
1. The cold shoe achieves a good weight balance when battery adaptor is added to the rear of the HVR-V1U camera using VCT-1BP. 2. The screw bolt contained inside the attachment foot can be extended with dialing screw (circled in red) for easy connection to the screw hole. 3. The screw hole allows easy connection to a tripod, light stand, or other device that contains a standard screw in its attachment plate.
LED reliability and low power consumption
Bright daylight balanced output. Powered by a single InfoLithium battery.
The HVL-LBPA is perfect for outside shooting in shade or sunlight. Color balanced at 5500K daylight color temperature. Max. 600 lux @ 1m. Low power usage of only 16 W. NP-F970 battery provides 180 min. @ max. brightness. Over 10,000 hrs. light bulb lifetime* for heavy usage. Low heat means quick cool down and pack-up.
