Copy Lamps a False Economy
Independent Tests Prove Original Lamps are the Brightest Diamond Lamps, makers of lamps using only original bulbs, is warning lamp resellers that they risk selling their customers short by supplying copy or compatible lamps. Independent tests recently commissioned by Philips Lighting, compared Diamond Lamps that use the Philips original bulb versus three well known brands of copy and compatible lamps. The tests, conducted by Kema, a Dutch company providing research, consultancy and testing for the electrical industry, showed that original lamps are always brighter than copy lamps, averaging over 80% more light output, and in one instance the difference was more than 200%.
