VGN-FExx series Disassemble instructions 1. Remove the battery 2. Disassemble the RAM door and RAM
Step 1.To prevent any kind of cosmetic damages and scratches; place your PC upside on top of a soft surface. Remove the battery in the direction of the arrow and set aside.
Step 2. Using a screwdriver, remove the marked screw.
Step 3. Remove memory access door in the direction of the arrow and set aside.
Step 4. Unlock the memory socket, remove it in the direction of the arrow and set aside.

Step 5. Using a screwdriver, remove the screw.
Step 6. Remove hard drive access door and set aside.
Step 7. Using a screwdriver remove the marked screw.
Step 8. Gently pull out HDD in the direction of the arrow and set aside.

Step 9. Using a screwdriver, remove the marked screw.
Step 10. Remove the ODD in the direction of arrow and set aside.
Step 11. Using a screwdriver, remove the marked screw.
Step 12. Remove the K/B cover and set aside.
Step 13. Using a screwdriver remove the marked screw.
Step 14. Remove the keyboard data cable in the direction of arrow and set aside.

Step 15.Gently pull out the marked cable.
Step 16. Using a screwdriver, remove the marked screw.
Step 17. Gently remove the LCD in the direction of arrow and set aside.
Step 18.Gently remove the LCD rubber round and use a screwdriver to remove the marked screw.
Step 19. Gently scratch the LCD bezel.
Step 20.Gently pull out the connecter of the inverter as shown.
Step 21.Using a screwdriver, remove the screw.
Step 22. Gently remove the Hinge and LCD panel.
Step 23. Gently pull out the cable.
Step 24.Using a screwdriver, remove the marked screw.

Step 25. Remove the cover thermal outlet in the direction of arrow and set aside.
Step 26. Using a screwdriver remove the screw.
Step 27. Gently remove the bottom and set aside.
Step 28. Using a screwdriver, remove the screw.

Step 29. Gently remove the bottom and set aside.

Step 30. Gently remove the ASSY Thermal CPU cable.
Step 31. Using a screwdriver, remove the marked screw.
Step 32. Gently remove the ASSY Thermal CPU and set aside.
Step 33. Unlock the CPU socket in the direction of arrow then remove the CPU.
Step 34. Gently remove the Modem cable.
Step 35. Using a screwdriver remove the marked screw.

Step 36. Turn around the WHU and unlock the socket as shown.
Step 37. Remove the WLAN card and set aside.

Step 39. Remove the M/B and set aside.
Step 40. Remove the marked screw and cable.
Step 39. Remove the PWBA touchpad.
