Just grab the VPL-CX1/CS2, and in the time it takes to plug in your notebook computer, youre ready to show your images anywhere. Improved versions of the popular VPL-CS1, these two new models are not only light and compact, they are packed with many impressive functions. Stylishly designed, they make operation easy with user-friendly menus and a versatile remote control.
Ultra-compact and Lightweight
With Sony 0.7-inch LCD panels and unique chassis, the VPL-CX1/CS2 comes in an extremely compact and light body, at just approx. 2.9 kg (6.4 lb). The attached handle and the carrying case make the unit easy to carry anywhere.

Smart Design

The VPL-CX1/CS2 is designed for functionality as well as style. The front cover, which protects the lens from damage when carrying the unit, also serves as the front leg when flipped open. The rear height adjuster enables the projectors shooting angle to be tilted in six steps, allowing you to have the projector ready in position right away.
Brightness and Resolution
The VPL-CX1 employs three 0.7-inch, true XGA (1024 x 768) resolution LCD panels and offers 550 ANSI lumens brightness, while the VPL-CS2 employs three SVGA (800 x 600) LCD panels and achieves a brightness of 600 ANSI lumens. Images are reproduced with great clarity, letting your presentation look its best.

Easy Setup

The VPL-CX1/CS2 accepts a wide variety of input signals, with 37 preset signal formats covering any video format used worldwide and PC signals up to SXGA. Just plug in your computer with the supplied cable, and you get a great picture with no need for complex adjustments.

Remote Control Function

The supplied RM-PJM10 remote control unit has an integrated mouse receiver for point-and-click control of your connected computer. You can also control the 4-times Digital Zoom function with this remote control unit, zooming in on a section of the presentation for more detail.

USB Compatibility and PROJECTOR STATION Software
The VPL-CX1/CS2 is USB-ready, and it serves as a USB hub for daisychain connection of multiple devices. With the USB connection the projector can be controlled by a computer, using the PROJECTOR STATION* USB application software. The software also helps you organize your presentation materials for quick access - you can open the files registered in the software with the function keys on the remote control unit.
* PROJECTOR STATION version 2.0 software requirements: Microsoft Windows 98, Windows 98 SE or Windows 2000 operating system.
Digital Keystone Adjustment
Keystone distortion caused by the projection angle can be electronically corrected, up to 15 degrees, via the on-screen menu. You will be able to project square and detailed images on to the screen even with limited setup space.

The on-screen display menu comes in seven languages: English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Japanese and Chinese.

Low Fan Noise

Quiet operation for undisturbed, smooth presentations.

Advanced APA

Dot phase and image size or shift can be automatically adjusted to their optimal settings just by pressing the APA (Auto Pixel Alignment) button.

Stereo Speakers

Despite its compact size, the VPL-CX1/CS2 comes fully equipped with stereo speakers.
