*Important notice regarding discs recorded in the AVCHD format. Using VRD-MC5, AVCHD footage captured by AVCHD HDD/Memory Stick Handycam camcorder can be copied onto DVD media. However, DVD media containing AVCHD footage should not be used with DVD based players or recorders, as the DVD player/recorder may fail to eject media and may erase its contents without warning. DVD media containing AVCHD footage may be played on a compatible Blu-ray Disc player/recorder or other compatible devices. **DVD Media containing AVCHD footage can not be played on VRD-MC5.

Dubbing From Your Handycam With the DISC BURN Button
Simply press the DISC BURN button on your Handycam to start copying the videos recorded since the last DISC BURN recording.
Dubbing From Your Handycam
Copy the entire video contents of your Handycam onto DVDs.
Connect the AC adapter and AC power cord, and press to turn on the DVDirect.

and insert a disc.

Turn on the camcorder.

Quick Start Guide
Connect the camcorder and DVDirect with a USB cable (not supplied). Press the DISC BURN button to start recording. Wait for a while until dubbing is complete.

Connect the camcorder and DVDirect with a USB cable (not supplied).
Preparation for USB connection may differ depending on your camcorder. Refer to the operating instructions for your camcorder.
On the camcorders LCD screen, touch the button of the media you are dubbing from.

When complete, the disc is ejected automatically.
Copy the entire DV tape contents to a DVD.

Record selected portions of a video tape onto a DVD disc.

Photo Recording

Copy all photos from a memory card to a DVD.

Power ON !

Turn on the camcorder, and switch to PLAY/EDIT mode.
Turn on and setup your video device for video playback.
Connect the AC adapter and AC power cord, and press

to turn on DVDirect.

Connect the device and DVDirect with appropriate cables (not supplied).
Operate the video device to start playback.
Start/pause/resume recording. Stop recording. Remove the disc.

When complete, press remove the disc.
