Just because you only need a small mixer, it doesnt mean you dont need a great mixer. The new Spirit E Series packs legendary Soundcraft know-how into a compact format to deliver pristine sound quality and all the features you need for a wide variety of applications. A choice of 6, 8 and 12 channel models is complemented by the unique ES, with 10 full function stereo channels for mixing sources from samplers, sound modules, keyboards etc.

This 8 mono input channel frame is great for medium sized applications offering more inputs than the E6. With 6 mono input channels, the E6 is the perfect solution for small scale applications such as project studios and club/pub live events.
10 stereo inputs (2 with record deck preamps) make the ES ideal in recording situations with multiple stereo input sources, or on-stage as a keyboard submixer.

Spirit E Series consoles are a breakthrough in low-cost mixing. Suited to a wide variety of applications, they deliver legendary Soundcraft performance in a compact package. The mic preamps ensure ultra-low distortion (even with high gain), the EQ section gives you precise, musical control over the frequencies you want to adjust, and 100mm long throw faders give you full control over your mix. E Series consoles feature solid construction, with rugged side cheeks serving the dual function of transit protection and cable management. The small footprint of E Series consoles makes them great for broadcast, studio and post environments where space is at a premium, and in live situations where they remain discreet (an integral PSU is a bonus in this respect). Here are a few suggestions on how to use the E Series.

SPIRIT ES IN RECORDING

The ten stereo inputs on the ES console make it perfect for the modern studio where there are multiple stereo sources such as keyboards, samplers, DAW outputs and effects processors. For DJ production, 2 stereo inputs feature record deck preamps on RCAs, allowing connection of a turntable. Less time is spent patching, giving more time to concentrate on the mix. The 4 mono inputs can be used to mix single channel sources such as mics and instruments. The main mix output provides a stereo signal for sending to a 2-track recorder.
SPIRIT E SERIES IN LIVE SOUND
In live sound, a main mix is required for the audience, with separate monitor mixes for the performers on stage. E Series consoles offer 2 auxiliary outputs which can be used for monitor mixes. These can be switched to pre-fade, ensuring the signal isnt affected by fader movements during the event. Channel insert points allow compression and effects to be added and mix inserts are useful for overall compression/limiting of the entire mix.
SPIRIT E SERIES IN MULTI-SPEAKER APPLICATIONS
The E Series is perfectly capable of serving medium to large installations. The 2 auxes in combination with the main mix outputs and mix inserts make it easy to configure multiple speaker arrangements, giving plenty of feeds for front of house sound and fills.
SPIRIT E SERIES IN PLACES OF WORSHIP
The E Series is great for this type of installation. Configured as shown, the 2 auxes provide feeds for foldback and an induction loop, the main mix signal is used for FOH sound, a CD player is connected to the 2-track inputs and a cassette/DAT machine is being used for record/playback. Band and preacher mics can be connected to the console in the usual way.
