GB STRONG UNIVERSAL REMOTE CONTROL 5 in 1
Thank you for purchasing the STRONG 5 in 1 Universal Remote Control. The remote can operate up to 5 different devices: TV, VCR, DVD player and 2 satellite receivers or cable TV boxes. The remote is powered by 2 AAA type 1.5 Volt batteries not included in this packaging.

Easy set-up

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Insert 2 new batteries into the back of the remote. Following the markings in the battery compartment. Switch ON the device you wish to operate (e.g. your TV). Look for the brand name of the device you wish to control in the attached CODE LIST at the end of this user-manual (e.g. TV: SONY). Next to the brand name you will find one or more 3-digit code numbers (e.g. SONY: 028) which have to be entered in the following way: Press and hold both the key and the appropriate device key , , , , on the remote until the LED turns ON and then release both keys. Then enter the 3-digit code numbers by using the numeric keys. The key-in time is 10 seconds (see point 4). (e.g. + + 028). Use following device keys: for your TELEVISION, for your VIDEO RECORDER, for your DVD-PLAYER, for your SATELLITE RECEIVER default setting for STRONG SRT 6125, 6155, 6355 for your second device: SATELLITE RECEIVER / CABLE BOX. If the code number you inserted is correct (present in the database) then the LED light will turn OFF immediately. If this number does not exist then the LED is still ON. The key-in time is 10 seconds, if any key is not pressed within 10 seconds then the LED will turn OFF and the same procedure must be followed again (points 4-5). Aim your remote control at the selected device and press the Power key. Your remote control is set up correctly if the device switches OFF and ON. Then check if keys e.g. VOLUME -/+ or e.g. at VCR/DVDPlayer: key can be operated. If your device does not react and/or operates incorrectly, repeat step 3 to step 6 by entering the next 3-digit-code from the list. If the brand of your device is not shown in the code number list, or if none of the digit codes operates your device properly, you can try the automatic search function :
Automatic search function
1. 2. Switch ON the selected device you would like to control: TV, VCR, DVD-Player, STB 1 or STB2. Press and hold both the key and the appropriate device key until LED light is ON and then release both keys.

Use following device keys: for your TELEVISION, for your VIDEO RECORDER, for your DVD-PLAYER, for your SATELLITE RECEIVER default setting for STRONG SRT 6125, 6155, 6355 for your second device: SATELLITE RECEIVER / CABLE BOX 3. 4. Press the key again, and then the LED should start blinking which means your remote is in code search mode. Press the key on remote and check if your device (e.g. TV) switches OFF. Continue pressing this button slowly with intervals of about 2 seconds between each press until the device is switched OFF. If it switches OFF, press the appropriate device key (e.g. ). LED light will turn OFF now. Your device code for the selected device is now stored. Aim the remote control at the selected device and press the key. Your remote control is set up correctly if the device switches ON; e.g. VOLUME -/+ or e.g. at VCR/DVD-Player: key can be operated. If the selected devices operated incorrectly, repeat step 2 to step 6. If a key is not pressed within 30 seconds in the search mode, the remote will stop the search.

Identifying CODE numbers from the automatic search:
1. Press the key on the remote control. Now press both and release. & key
If the LED does not blink at all, the corresponding code for the first digit is 0.

Count the number of times the LED blinks and record this number. Continue by pressing & and count the number of times the LED blinks then record this number. For the second digit. Continue by pressing & and count the number of times the LED blinks then record this number for the third digit. You have now identified the 3-digit code from the search. Key does not blink at all, it means the 1st digit of the code number is [0], key blinking twice means 2nd digit is [2], key blinking 8 times means 3rd digit is [8], therefore the code number is 028.

Example:

If you think that the searching process is too slow, you can advance the database searching process by pressing button.

GB Basic functions:

1. STANDBY ON/OFF Switches the device ON or OFF. 2. LED indicator Blinks when remote control buttons are pressed. 3. TV TV mode. Press this button to control your TV set. 4. SET Used for programming other devices, such as VCR/DVD-Player etc. 5. VCR VCR mode. Press this button to control your VCR. 6. STB2 Second set top box mode. Press this button to controlyour second STB. 7. DVD DVD-Playermode. Press this button to control your DVD-Player. 8. STB1 Default button for Strong SRT 6125/6155/6355 digital satellite receivers. 9. TV/RAD Switches between TV or Radio mode in STB1 mode. 10. FAV Displays the list of favourite channels in STB1 mode. 11. Mute Enables or disables the sound Mutes in all modes 12. SUB Display subtitles of broadcast in STB1 mode Used for stepping through the channels or navigating within the OSD Menus in STB1 mode. 13. CHANNEL Up/Down Used for stepping through the channels or navigating within the OSD Menus in STB1 mode. 14. VOL Left/Right Used for adjusting the volume or for navigating within the OSD Menus (left / right) in all modes. 15. OK In SAT1 mode: To confirm actions in the menu systems. In view mode: Displays the current channel list. (For example TV, Radio or Favourite). In VCR/DVD-Player mode: Selects PLAY function. 16. SAT STB1 mode: Displays the list of satellites which have previously installed channels.VCR/DVD-Player mode: STOP function. 17. TEXT Enables / disables Teletext in STB1 and TV modes. 18. MENU STB1 mode: The main menu for setting up the receiver. 19. Information STB1 mode: Shows program information. VCR mode: RECORD function. 20. BACK In STB1 and DVD-Player modes: Exits the current OSD (Menu) page. In TV mode: switches back to previous channels 21. AV Selects TV or Digital TV 22. PAGE / Plus-Minus STB1 mode: Scrolling page by page. Page+ for the next 10 items, Page- for the previous 10 items. VCR/DVD-Player mode: FORWARD & BACKWARD functions. 23. EPG Display the EPG (Electronic Program Guide). 24. PAUSE STB1 mode: Freezes the picture. VCR/DVD-Player mode: PAUSE function. 25. AUDIO STB1 mode: Displays all available audio tracks on current service. It also displays all the available languages. 26. Blue STB1 mode: The blue coloured button is used for various functions in the menus. TV mode: Brightness increase function 27. Yellow STB1 mode: The yellow colour is used for various functions in the menu. TV mode: Brightness decrease function. 28. Red STB1 mode: The red colour is used for various functions in the menus. TV mode: Colour decrease function. 29. Green STB1 mode: The green colour is used for various functions in the menu. TV mode: Colour increase function. Buttons 26-29 In Teletext mode: Functions according to Teletext content. 30. 0 - 9 Numeric Direct entry of numerical functions in the menus or in channels selection

May 2011 May 2011 The new STRONG DVB-T receivers SRT 5300, SRT 5303 and SRT 5306 are convenient, user friendly and hold many useful features for Free-To-Air TV and radio entertainment. Easy set up is granted, even for technical newcomers. SRT 5303 and SRT 5306 (latter available in Italy) have easy-to-handle and convenient recording functions. After selecting an event only one touch on the remote control is necessary to record onto an external storage device. It is even possible to watch a programme while recording another on the same frequency via USB. All three receivers have convenient features, among them a USB port for multimedia such as watching photo albums and playing video and music files. It is possible to pause live TV with the time shifted playback but also to rewind, fast forward and play in slow motion when a USB flash drive or hard drive is connected. The timer for the Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) is adjustable and allows direct booking of events. There are favourite lists for every member of the family. High audio and video quality is granted for and the coaxial output allows digital sound. The stateof-the-art USB power control and low power standby help to save energy.
