We are a fully equipped three storey, four room facility on Canadas west coast. The Warehouse Studio offers the best in technology, atmosphere and staff to make your visit both artistically productive and enjoyable. The combined knowledge of musicians and technicians was instrumental in creating and designing The Warehouse. Our studio features a large Neve recording room, two SSL mixing rooms and a central Pro Tools editing room. We also have technicians on-site to give prompt and efficient technical support.

Location

Situated right on the Pacific Ocean, three hours north of Seattle, we have wonderful beaches and cycling paths. We are only 90 minutes away from Whistler, the number one ski resort in North America, and 20 minutes away from the local ski mountains. Also, we can provide special hotel accommodation and extended stay apartment rates to fit your budget.

Studio 1

SSL 4072 GTR Series Mixing Room
This is our latest addition to the Warehouse featuring the SSL 4072 G Series console with E series Eq. Sony 3348U tape machine, Studer A800 MKIII and Sony PCM 800. There is a semi-dead overdubbing room available from the control room. Clients have own private lounge, kitchen area, plus their own washroom.

Studio 2

Neve A 6630 Custom Air Studio Control Room
Our uniquely styled control room is specially set up with a large comfortable lounge area behind the console. Also there is natural daylight and a view of the outside world. The size of this room is 27ft deep, 24ft wide and 9-11ft high (8mtr x 7mtr x 2.4mtr).

Tracking Room

This studio is our primary recording space and is located on the second floor of our facility. The room is a large acoustically controllable brick/wood room with three large isolation rooms. Windows are located along the west wall of the studio. Room decay and acoustics can be controlled via retractable Roman diffusion panels. The three isolation rooms face the main studio, in full view of the control room. These rooms are acoustically semi-dead with additional damping that can be provided via adjustable panels. Orchestral sessions of up to 55 musicians can be accommodated.
Private Kitchen & Lounge Area
Our relaxing lounge area contains a full kitchen and dining room with seating for up to 10 people. The TV viewing area is complete with an audio/video/games system. Also, there is a private bathroom complete with shower exclusively for the clients use. The private lounge area has great views of the Gastown neighbourhood below and the north shore mountains beyond.

Studio 3

Mixing SSL 9080 J Series
On the third floor of the facility, we have an SSL 9080 J series mixing room. The room has a cozy feeling with large wooden beams overhead, red brick and sheet rock walls. In addition, the room has great views of the north shore mountains and the surrounding Gastown streets. The mixing room has a home feel rather than the anechoic symmetrical operation rooms that are the norm. There is no separate overdub room for this studio. The room measures 24ft wide, 19ft deep and 11ft high (7mtr x 6mtr x 3.5mtr).

Surround

We are also setup for DVD 5.1 mixing- with complete surround sound setup including Apogee AD8000 - 24 bit converters, Sony DA-88s, and your choice of KRK E8s, or Genelec 1031A monitoring.
The rest of our third floor consists of an open loft-like living area with lots of natural light and views of downtown Vancouver. For the clients convenience there is a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area for six, washroom and TV area, complete with video/stereo/games system.

Studio 5

Editing Control Room
On the main floor of the studio we have our completely digital editing suite which can provide clients with multitrack performance repairs, album assembly, test sequencing and CD referencing. This studio is 48 track digital tielined to both our recording and mixing rooms. There is also a separate small overdub booth.

Dubbing Room

The dubbing room is capable of making a total of 4 CDRs, 4 cassettes and 2 DATs at one time. No high speed dubbing is done.

Fax/Data/Photocopy

There are private facsimile and photocopy machines available for client use. Email and data terminals are located throughout the studio and living room areas. Private phone lines and billing are provided for each client.
Private Parking/Green Space
The open air secured/private parking lot can be accessed via a client supplied garage clicker. For the clients enjoyment we have a two-hole putting green and lawn in our courtyard, as well as small sundecks off the second and third floor. Patio furniture is out during the warmer months and a bastketball hoop just for fun.
