synerG COUNCIL MEMBER REQUIREMENTS AND EXPECTATIONS
synerG, under the umbrella of Action Greensboro, is an active organization of young adults who lead initiatives with the mission to attract, engage and connect young professionals to Greensboro, North Carolina. Through our projects, synerG promotes social and professional networking, leadership opportunities and serves as a clearinghouse for information for young adults in the 21-39 year-old age demographic. synerG values the creation of opportunities and atmospheres that promote connectedness, diversity/inclusiveness and accessibility. The synerG Council is a working group of young professionals from the Greensboro area, with representation from the official affiliate organizations as well as at-large members from the community, providing oversight and direction of the efforts of synerG in attracting, engaging and connecting young professionals. Please review and initial the following terms regarding your membership on the synerG Council: ________ Membership term is 2 years, renewable. ________ Target Age Demographic synerG Council members must be within the target age demographic of synerG (21-39 years old) ________ Target Geographic Demographic synerG Council members live and/or work within the target geographic demographic of synerG (City of Greensboro) ________ Council Meeting Attendance is required for at least 3 of the 5 regularly scheduled meetings per year (generally the 3rd Thursday of every other month, rotating between 12 noon and 5:30 pm). ________ Event Attendance is highly encouraged and may be mandatory from time to time at the decision of the synerG Council. While it is understandable that council members have personal and work commitments, you are expected to be in attendance at events whenever possible. (Current events include Fall Ball (1/year), synerG On Tap (10-12/year), and Making Connections Around the Table (6-8/year) and a full schedule will be provided annually at the Retreat). ________ Actively serve on at least one committee/focus area (current committees include Fall Ball, Leadership Initiative, Making Connections Around the Table, synerG On Tap, Triad InternNet, and YP Sports). SYNERG HOSTS FIRST FALL BALL
GREENSBORO, N.C. synerG, the Young Professionals initiative of Action Greensboro, will hold synerG Fall Ball event on, Friday, November 14, from 8:00 pm midnight at the Kress Terrace in downtown Greensboro. The event will feature live music by the Plaids, dancing and dessert. Earlier in the evening several restaurants will offer prix fixe menus for Fall Ball guests. The Fall Ball will provide an intimate, upscale and semi-formal opportunity for young professionals, helping to further synerGs mission of attracting, engaging and connecting young professionals age 21-39 to Greensboro. The cost to attend the Fall Ball is $25 per person, and dress is semi formal. Tickets are limited and can be purchased online at http://www.synerg.org/FallBall.html.
