Main Controller Board Part Numbers: T2265/T2280 LA650/LA2265+/2280+
120 DPI Controller Boards are no longer available. If a 120 DPI board must be replaced, the 120 DPI Encoder must be replaced with a 180 DPI Encoder, and the 120 DPI Incremental Strip must be replaced with a 180 DPI Incremental Strip. See TIR-04049 for part numbers for specials. Note: The 180 DPI replacement Controller boards are kits which include a 180 DPI Encoder and a 180 DPI Incremental Strip.
The original Main Controller Boards for these models have gone through 2 revisions, necessitated by the obsolescence of several components on the original versions of the board. Enhancements and improvements were also incorporated in the revisions. The versions of the Main Controller boards are: 1. Original Version, also referred to as "Classic": Standard Parallel and Serial interfaces. 2. NC1 (New Controller 1), also referred to as "Interim": Standard Parallel interface and optional Serial interface. 3. + models, also referred to as "Plus": Standard Parallel and USB interfaces, optional Serial interface. At the transition from the NC1 boards to the + boards, the models designations were change: - from T2265/T2280 to 2265+/2280+ - from 7265 to 7265+ - from LA650/LA800 to LA650+/LA800+ 2265 Original - built thru July 05, SN < NC1 - built from Aug 05 thru Jan 06, SN < 93005100 2265+ - built from Jan 06 on, SN >= Original - built thru July 05, SN < NC1 - built from Aug 05 thru May 06, SN < 92909600 2280+ - built from May 06 on, SN >= 92909600 An NC1 Version board, with the appropriate software installed for the Model, directly replaces an Original Version board. If Serial interface is required, the Serial option board must be installed along with the NC1 Main Controller. A + board CAN ONLY BE INSTALLED IN A + UNIT (the appropriate software must be installed). The + units have hardware differences versus the T2265/T2280, 7265, and LA650/LA800 units. These differences include the printhead, interconnection board, carriage assembly, and ribbon mask.
