WARNING! Clock Source: No Word Signal

Problem

No word clock is fed into the WORD IN or the incoming word clock frequency is not correct.

Solution

Feed the correct word clock.
WARNING! Clock Source: No Video Signal
No video signal or frame pulse is fed into the VIDEO IN or the incoming clock is not correct.
Feed a correct video signal or frame pulse.
WARNING! No clock from MASTER Check connections and settings
No connection to the master DTRS machine. The master unit is turned off. Different Fs is selected on the master DTRS machine.
Connect PW-88S cable. Turn on the master machine. Set the correct Fs.
WARNING! Clock Source: Video frame mode doesn't match.
The Tc Frame Mode setting is different from the incoming video signal frame.
Correct the Tc Frame Mode. (see menu group 5)
WARNING! Clock Source: Video PLL unlockl
Incoming signal video signal / frame pulse frequency or level is out of range.
Check the signal or termination. (see VIDEO IN/THRU specifications)
WARNING! Cannot Resolve No Video Signal
No video signal or frame pulse is fed into the VIDEO IN.
Feed a correct video signal or frame pulse. Or turn off the Video Resolve. (see menu group 5)
WARNING! Cannot Resolve Video frame mode doesn't match.
WARNING! Broken tape: Replace the tape

The tape is broken.

Replace the tape.
WARNING! TDIF(dubbing)cable not connected
TDIF-1 (dubbing) cable is not connected. This message appears when DIGTAL IN is turned on.
Connect PW-88D or PW-88DL cable to the TDIF-1(DIGTAL I/O) connector. Or turn off the DIGTAL IN.
WARNING! Condensation on drum
Condensation occurred on the head drum.
Leave the unit switched on for one or two hours, then cycle the power before using.

Servo error ## occurred. ( ## : see below )
Cycle the power and replace the tape. If a "Servo error" persists,contact TASCAM representaives.
Unable to shift mechanism mode within the five seconds of command reception. Tape is not wound into cassette half even Eject is commanded. Occurrence of tape slack during tape runs. Unable to latch solenoid on FF/REW winding. The drum motor could not work correctly in time. The capstan motor could not work correctly in time. The reel motor could not work correctly in time.
WARNING! Cannot Chase Master frame mode doesn't match.
The Tc Frame Mode setting is different from the incoming video signal frame when the CHASE is turned on.
WARNING! TC Record Source: Not Synchronized
The incoming Timecode does not synchronize to the DA-98 system clock. The message appears when TC REC is on with the External TC selected as TC Record Source. No timecode is recorded on the tape.
Feed and record a correct timecode. Or select INTERNAL clock for CHASE if using the recorded unsynchronized timecode. Change the Tape TC Mode from Tc Track to ABS. (see menu group 5)
WARNING! Cannot Chase No Tape TC
WARNING! Cannot Chase No Master TC
No master timecode is fed or the incoming timecode may have some drop.
Feed a correct timecode. Or try chaging the Error Bypass value to 30 Frame. (see menu group 4)
WARNING! Cannot Resolve No Tape TC
No timecode is recorded on the tape.
Change the Tape TC Mode from Tc Track to ABS. (see menu group 5)
WARNING! Cannot Record TC: No Timecode from Selected Source
No timecode is fed when External TC recording. No timecode on the tape when Assembly Timecode recording.
Feed a correct timecode. Start Assembly Recordig at where timecode exists. Contact TASCAM representaives.
WARNING! Sys ROM is too old. Please use Ver #.## or later
Sys ROM version does not match with the Sync ROM version.
WARNING! Sync ROM is too old. Please use Ver #.## or later
Sync ROM version does not match with the Sys ROM version.

No - Hi8 tape is inserted. Thin tape ( e.g. 180 - minute ) is inserted.
Use Hi8 tapes. Use 120-minute or shorter tapes.

Loading the tape. Ejecting the tape. At the beginning of the tape. At the end of the tape. No tape is inserted. "MEMO" key is pressed at unformatted area of the tape.
