| TEAC AD500 Integrated CD/Cassette Deck I have been looking for this type machine for a long time. I was disapointed. It broke down right away. Nice unit.....but be extremely careful... I used to have a lot of respect for TEAC products. | |

Instructions for Using a Lubell Underwater Speaker with the Anchor EXP6000 Explorer Pro Sound System
1. Please read and understand the Anchor Explorer Pro instruction manual and this guide before using
system. If you have any questions, please contact us at (614) 235-6740.
2. CAUTION: The Anchor Explorer Pros grounded power cord must be connected to a grounded GFCI
type AC outlet having test/reset buttons. Test outlet before each use.
3. The Anchor Explorer Pro is not UL listed for AC operation. If local electrical code specifically requires
UL label for AC operation, then disconnect power cord and operate Explorer Pro (and any connected device) off of internal batteries instead.
4. Inspect speaker cables and amplifier power cable before each use. If cable or speaker coating
becomes damaged, return to Lubell Labs for service before using equipment. Do not attempt self-repair of cords or equipment -- return to manufacturer for factory service only. Use a cord protector over exposed cords to help prevent any damage or tripping.
5. Connect the Lubell LL916 or LL9816 underwater speaker to the mating 3-pin connector on the
AC201CXA transformer box. Then connect the AC201CXA transformer box to the EXTERNAL SPEAKER connector on the back of the Anchor Explorer Pro sound system. The Lubell Labs AC201CXA isolation transformer provides 2 ohm impedance matching, and prevents powerline voltages which might appear on the chassis of a defective amplifier from reaching the underwater loudspeaker. Caution: AC201CXA box for use with Explorer Pro only -- other Lubell transformer boxes are available allowing connection to 8 ohm systems of various wattage ratings.
6. Make sure the Anchor Explorer Pro has been fully charged overnight before and after each use. Place
the Explorer Pro and Lubell transformer box on a table or chair at least 10 back from the water at all times. Keep the units dry, and store in dry air conditioned area when not in use. TIP: Periodically apply a light coating of WD40 to audio connectors using a Q-tip -- this will help to prevent loose connections and static.
7. Attach a rope to the suspension tab on the underwater speaker or cage. Using this rope only, lower
the speaker to a 6 operating depth (1.83 meters) and tie in place. (Cage mounted speakers may be placed on the bottom of the pool.) Never lift the underwater speaker by its audio cable -- this WILL damage the cable and possibly the internal speaker parts, which is not covered under the warranty.
8. The Explorer Pros BASS and TREBLE controls should be set to neutral (straight up) position at
beginning of each song. Adjust sparingly to compensate for poor recordings.
9. Connect the CSA listed TEAC AD-500 CD/cassette to the Explorer Pros LINE IN L/R jacks using the
stereo patch cord included with the AD-500. Or connect a portable Walkman (CD or MP3) players
HEADPHONE jack to the Explorer Pros LINE IN L/R jacks using a Radio Shack 42-2551 cord. (Set volume control on Walkman to 7, and any bass boost off.) Turn up the VOICE OVER / LINE knob on
the Explorer Pro until desired air/UW sound level is reached.
10. Connect Audio Technica ST95MKII microphone (optional) to one of the microphone inputs on the
Anchor Explorer Pro. Turn up the microphone volume control on the Anchor Explorer Pro until the swimmers can hear you. If they cannot hear you over the loud music, then use the ducking feature of the Explorer Pro to automatically reduce the music while you speak. To use this feature, simply pull out the VOICE OVER / LINE knob.
11. Always vacate the water during inclement weather and electrical storms.
