Technibel heat pumps are designed specifically for this application: they optimise the operation of existing fossil fuelfired systems. The heat pump takes priority as long as its output is optimised. Below a specific temperature, the heat pump stops operating and the boiler intervenes to satisfy the heating requirements; in any case, the boiler is used to generate domestic hot water. This significantly reduces fossil fuel consumption.

Which TECHNIBEL heat pump should you choose?
This solution can be achieved using PHTJ, PHT and PHRT heat pumps. The heat pump should be selected in accordance with the desired water temperature and the normal outdoor temperature. Please refer to the chart below:

Description of the application The heat pump can operate independently or may be assisted by an electric heating source (MCE module) if installed in areas where the outdoor temperature drops to a level that causes the heat pump to operate less efficiently. The entire system is controlled automatically, thanks to AQUASET (intellectual property of Technibel). KPECS domestic hot water kit includes: - or 500 l tank with supplementary 3 kW electric heating (in 230 Vac) - 1 x 1 3-way solenoid valve for tank feed (On/Off) - 1 electric control panel
With this configuration: - The KPECS domestic hot water generation kit can be used. REGULATION KIT K60D069Z This solution is also available with the K60D069Z regulation kit (as an alternative to the MCE module). This electronic control unit is capable of controlling the entire system. It can be used to select Heating/Defrosting/Off modes and the Comfort or Economy heating program (hourly programming is available).

M2ZP underfloor module for 2 zones Hydraulic separation module for 2 underfloor zones. Start-up in each zone is controlled by a circulation pump, and a 3-way valve regulates the water temperature. A room temperature sensor for the second zone is supplied with this module. A room temperature sensor can be installed for zone 1 (accessory 70250065) if the control unit is not in that zone.
