The lower cavity is ready to prepare pizzas with a specifical function that spreads the heat evenly through the cavity, and a special pizza stone to cook the dough perfectly. The triple grill combines an extra size grill in the upper part with a grill of the small cavity. This is ideal for barbecues and similar cooking. The sandwich function is designed to make sandwiches and toasts in just three minutes on both sides, without flipping them over. Finally, stone cooking is available at home. The new stone function heats up the stone to allow stone cooking and keeps the food warm for about 20 minutes.

Compact ovens have the same fingerprint-proof finish as other stainless steel models in the Teka home appliances range. This opaque sheen provides an unmistakable touch of elegance to the product and protects the stainless steel by increasing its resistance to dirt as well as preventing grease particles from accumulating on the surface.

Ovens have their own personality. When times passes we can see through their physical features and envision the values they contain. Every product of the series is characterized by three main features; the U shaped stainless steel front, the control panel design and the handle. Gourmet specials.

The double ovens offer two independent cavities to cook several dishes with their own temperature and settings. On the other hand, for more demanding chefs, Teka has introduced two new versions of its 900 mm wide multifunction stainless steel oven with a massive 88 litre capacity, ideal for big roasts or cooking several dishes at the same time. These ovens also offer a large 1867 cm2 baking tray, with seven different cooking levels, that can be adjusted to vary the distance between shelves to allow a better heat distribution around the oven.

Oven lighting is also carefully considered, with optimum brightness gained from a special rear panel shape with a 25W lamp. Top-of-therange ovens incorporate two 25W lamps on each side so that dishes are easily visible without dark shadows, even when cooking at several levels simultaneously. With an energy-saving option you can also switch off the lights inside the oven if theyre not required.

Reinforced grill pan.

The grill pan has a reinforced grid and a handle for easy removal, plus a safety-stop feature to avoid the tray being accidentally pulled off the shelf. There is also an energy-saving feature whereby when the door is opened, the heating element and hot air fan are automatically switched off. After closing the door, the oven carries on operating according to the previous settings.

Healthy defrosting.

The essence of microwave cooking or defrosting is that times are reduced because the waves penetrate food from various directions. The double microwaves output (D.M.O.) in some Teka models, makes diagonal waves enter from two points which complement the motion of the integrated rotary turntable to cook evenly, as well as to minimise the possibility of cold zones.

A defrost system by weight is available in all electronic and touch-control models. It calculates defrosting time according to the type and weight of the food. Automatic defrost by time is the alternative method, available in the electronic and touch control models, whereby power varies for a more efficient defrosting. In the electromechanical models, defrosting is only achieved by using fixed power levels. However, both types of defrosting act very quickly, preventing the opportunities for bacteria to develop.

Cooking tips.
Traditional settings Used for items like sponges and cakes where the heat must be uniform to achieve a spongy texture. Recommended temperature: 170 C - 210 C. This function can be used at minimum temperature to keep foods warm before serving them to the table. Bottom heating element Heats only from underneath, suitable for cooking dishes with a pastry content. Grill For grilling and browning, particularly suitable for low-to-medium thickness meat like sausages and steaks. Recommended temperature: 170-220 C. Maxi Grill Allows for cooking bigger surfaces than the standard grill, and greater power reduces the time required for browning food. Grill and bottom heating element Is specially for roasts, of any size. Traditional fan settings Appropriate for roasts and cakes. The fan spreads heat uniformly around the oven, reducing cooking time and temperature. Recommended temperature: 160200 C. Fan grilling Used when uniform roasting is needed at the same time as surface browning. Maxi Grill with fan Used when uniform roasting is needed at the same time as surface browning. Its ideal for larger dishes such as poultry and game, when a tray can be placed under the grid to collect leftovers and juices. Bottom heating element with fan Distributes heat from the lower part of the oven and is ideal for cakes with jam or fruit filling which only require heating from underneath. Pre-heating is always necessary with this setting. Turbo settings Incorporate a turbine that distributes heat from an element at the back of the oven which ensures better heat circulation. It allows cooking at several heights at the same time without odours and flavours becoming mixed. The turbo function is ideal for cooking roasts because its quicker and avoids direct impact of heat above the trays. There is a special function for pastries. Recommended temperatures are 150C - 200C, apart from meringues which require 100C - 120C. Pizza setting It heats from the bottom and back of the oven at 3200 W of maximum nominal power with a fan for a better heat distribution. Stone function Finally, it will be possible to make stone cooking at home. With the new Teka stone and the new warm stone function, you will have your stone hot in approximately 30 minutes. Combo 45.15 has a volcanic stone (warm stone), a tray stone and tray handle as optional accessories. Defrosting Defrost function is in response the growing of pre-cooking and frozen dishes. Defrost is done through short, even cycles of hot air in two levels: high level (45 C) for meats in general and low level (35 C) for fishes, pastries and bread. Express preheating The express preheating function reduces the preheating time of the oven by 60% when the oven is cold (higher electric consumption stage). The heating elements of the oven connect at maximum power until the selected temperature is reached, this way it is reduced the waiting time without any additional energy consumption. Pyrolisis With pyrolitic ovens, no manual cleaning is required. Tekas Pyroclean system heats the oven to 500C, burning off all residues from baking, roasting or grilling, carbonising all organic substances into carbon dioxide and water, and non-organic substances into a fine layer of ash. When the ash is removed the oven is completely sterilised, eliminating all harmful viruses and bacteria, whilst all fumes and odours are removed by the catalyst.
