Conventional It is used for sponges and cakes where the heat received must be uniform to achieve a spongy texture.
Conventional with fan Appropriate for roasts and cakes. The fan spreads the heat uniformly inside the oven.
Turbo The fan distributes the heat produced by an element located at the rear of the oven. Due to the uniform heat distribution, it allows roasting and baking to take place at two heights at the same time. This cooking mode allows defrosting of food. To do this, set the temperature selector to position.
On connecting the oven, you will notice that 12:00 appears on the clock and that a light begins to flash above the symbol. Pressing the + and - buttons the correct time can be set on the clock, which is subsequently stored and the flashing light goes out. Manual use After setting the correct time, the oven is ready for use. Select a temperature and a cooking function. To switch off the oven, set the controls to the position. Grill For preparing dishes with superficial roasting. It allows the outer layer to be browned without affecting the inside of the food. Ideal for flat food, such as steaks, ribs, fish, toast.
Lower element Heats only from beneath. Suitable for heating dishes and raising pastry and similar.
Warning function: This function generates a warning tone at a specified time. Cooking time: This function allows to programme the oven to cook for a specified time, after which it will switch itself off. End of cooking time: This function allows to establish the exact hour, after which the oven will switch itself off. Duration and automatic stop: This function is used to control the duration and the time at which the oven will turn itself off. This function allows the oven to star t and stop automatically. Clock light: The clock light can be switched off when the oven is not in use. Warning function 1 Press the MODE button until the signal above the symbol begins to flash. 2 Choose the time when you want the alarm to sound, pressing the + or - buttons. 3 Subsequently, the light will remain on indicating that the alarm is programmed. 4 At the end of the programmed time, an alarm will sound and the light will begin to flash. 5 Press any button to turn off the alarm and the screen shows the current time again.

MaxiGrill Allows greater surfaces to be prepared, than with the grill, together with higher power reducing the time required for browning of the food.
Lower element with fan It distributes the heat from the lower part of the oven and is ideal for cakes with jam or fruit filling, which only require heating from beneath. Pre-heating is always necessary.

MaxiGrill with fan Allows uniform roasting at the same time as surface browning. Ideal for grills. Special for large volume pieces, such as poultry, game etc. It is recommended to put the item on a rack with a tray beneath to collect the stock and juices.
Grill and Lower element Special for roasts. It can be used for any piece, whatever its size. Note The pilot light remains on in any cooking function.
This function may be used even though you are already cooking in your oven. To do so, follow the instructions given except N 5.

Caution Pressing the MODE button the display on the screen shows any function p rogrammed. It can be changed by pressing the + or - buttons. On selecting the desired function, the indicator above the corresponding signal will light. In the event of a power cut, all the programming of the electronic clock will be erased. The correct time has to be reset and the watch reprogrammed. Switching off the clock light To switch off the clock light, press two buttons at the same time and, after several seconds the screen of your clock will go out. To re-light the clock, press any button and the current time will reappear. This function can only be used when the clock shows the current time and there is no function programmed (No function symbol is lit).

The tray handle is used when you need to move the tray to check the cook. See figures. To handle the tray out the oven, you need to use gloves to protect yourselve. Short hook Long hook

Meat probe: direct temperature checking.
The meat probe is used to measure the internal temperature of roasting meat or fish and the oven automatically switches off once it reaches the desired level. This also makes it possible to adjust cooking temperatures with great precision, for example, for rare or well done meat.

Crystal Clean: easy cleaning.
For much easier cleaning, Teka coats all trays and inner walls of the oven with a special enamelling process called Crystal Clean. This has superb resistance and hardness and provides a shiny, nonporous surface where food cannot stick to. Ovens and trays can simply be cleaned with a warm, damp cloth and will stay in top conditions with minimum care.

Easy defrosting.

The defrosting function meets the demands of those who prefer pre-cooked and frozen food. Defrosting is achieved through short and homogeneous cycles of hot air at two settings: high level (45C) for meats in general, and low level (35C) for fishes, pastries and bread. Maxi-Grill: power for the final grilling.
A large and powerful 2600W maxi-grill will brown all surfaces of food in the tray while maintaining user safety. Alternatively, a useful fast heating function will increase power by 1450W before cooking starts, as well as reducing pre-heating time by 60%.

Reinforced grill pan.

The grill pan has a reinforced grid and a handle for easy removal, plus a safety-stop feature to avoid the tray being accidentally pulled off the shelf. There is also an energy-saving feature whereby when the door is opened, the heating element and hot air fan are automatically switched off. After closing the door, the oven carries on operating according to the previous settings.
Self-cleaning panels: making your life easier. Inner lighting.
Oven lighting is also carefully considered, with optimum brightness gained from a special rear panel shape with a 25W lamp. Top-of-the-range ovens incorporate two 25W lamps on each side so that dishes are easily visible without dark shadows, even when cooking at several levels simultaneously. With an energy-saving eco function you can also switch off the lights inside the oven if theyre not required. With the standard catalytic panels, a selfcleaning feature is activated when the oven reaches 250C. The ceramic walls have a porous surface, which absorbs grease and produces a catalytic reaction to destroy organic matter that comes into contact with it. If further cleaning is necessary, panels are easily removable and washable with soapy water.

The Teka oven range combines award-winning good looks with a versatile range of styles, all with the utmost attention to detail elegant dark glass panels for touch control models, embossed doors in fingerprint-proof stainless steel, integrated handles and knobs, enamelled front panels with integrated handles or glass fronted panels with bow handles. Every product is meticulously designed for maximum functionality and perfect ergonomics. Teka is a master of materials, from coloured oven finishes to stainless steel, in which Teka is a standard setter in the kitchen industry.

Bottom heating element with fan: distributes heat from the lower part of the oven and is ideal for cakes with jam or fruit filling which only require heating from underneath. Pre-heating
is always necessary with this setting.
Grill and bottom heating element: is specially for roasts, of any size. Defrosting: is carried out by short cycles of hot air at two levels: high (45C) for meats and low (35C) for fish, pastries and bread. With model HA 890, the heating elements operate at low intensity and the fan agitates air inside the oven to defrost food without actually cooking it. In other models with this function, the fan circulates air inside the oven but there is no heat generation.
