The TMEA is an organization of more than 12,000 members dedicated to promoting public awareness of music education in the schools of Texas and stimulating professional growth among its members. The Texas Music Museum is a non-profit corporation, which celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2004. The museum conducts research, collects photographs, artifacts, and documents relating to all aspects of Texas music and provides traveling exhibits to other museums, schools, libraries, history centers and other public facilities. The long-range goal of the project is to establish a world-class multimedia museum in Austin to present exhibits and programs on all aspects of Texas music. The Kingwood Chorale consists of 45 to 60 vocalists with a 25 to 35 piece orchestra. Auditions are held in August and January.
