Under Mac OS X the Convert is also directly recognized and can be used with all standard DVcapable video editing applications (Apple Video, Adobe Premiere). The Cameo Drive uses the Oxford 911 chipset, which has become the standard for IEEE 1394-Mass Storage. It is directly recognized under Mac OS, and when using a FireWire-ready Linux distro need only be mounted like a normal drive.
