BUYER BEWARE - This phone is not compatible with North American 3G bands. First to all the people who say that this is different than the verizon model; do some reasearch before you post. Second.

Overall, I would take this phone over the Droid. I think that the form factor, and Sense UI really help for the consumer. I think that the Droid.

The Droid does it all. Open source apps allow this phone to go beyond its potential. Beautiful screen, phone, camera, video, mp3 player, internet.

Getting Started

Installing the Adapter 1. Set POWER=OFF. 2. Connect the adapter cord to the socket on the back of the calculator. 3. Plug the adapter into an easily accessible electrical outlet near the calculator. 4. Set POWER=ON, PRT, or IC.
Warning: Using any AC adapter other than the appropriate TI adapter may damage the calculator and void the warranty.

Key Descriptions

& Advances the paper. 2 Pressed once, clears an entry, an error, or an overflow condition. Pressed twice, clears a calculation. W Allows you to set a tax rate, choose a currency icon or set the rate for an optional currency. ^ Converts from the second currency to the first currency. _ Converts from the first currency to the second currency. d In currency conversion calculations, shows the currency icons one by one. In calculations that are not currency conversions, removes the last digit you entered. ! Changes the sign (+ or ) of the displayed number. P Uses the stored tax rate to calculate the tax and then adds it to the number in the display. Q Uses the stored tax rate to calculate the and then subtracts it from the displayed number to find the pre-tax amount. / Prints a reference number or date without affecting calculations. > Interprets the number in the display as a percentage. # Calculates the selling price and profit or loss amount on an item.
4. Lift the metal paper holder so it extends behind the printer. 5. Place the paper roll on the paper holder. 6. To print, set POWER=PRT or IC.
Note: To prevent damage to the printer (which may void the warranty), set POWER=ON when operating the calculator without paper.
Installing or Replacing Batteries 1. Set POWER=OFF. 2. If the AC adapter is connected, unplug it. 3. Turn the calculator over and remove the battery compartment cover. 4. Remove the old batteries, if necessary. 5. Position new batteries as shown in the diagram inside the battery compartment. Pay close attention to the polarity (+ and symbols). 6. Replace the battery compartment cover. 7. Set POWER=ON, PRT, or IC. Texas Instruments recommends you use alkaline batteries for longer battery life. Installing the Paper Roll To avoid paper jams, use quality bond paper. A 2-inch roll of quality bond paper is included with your calculator. 1. Set POWER=ON. 2. Cut the end of the paper squarely. 3. Holding the paper so it unrolls from the bottom, insert the end of the paper firmly into the slot on the back of the calculator and press & to feed the paper into the printer.
Replacing the Ink Roller (IR-40T) Negative entries and results are printed in red. All other numbers are printed in black. If the printing becomes faint, you may need to replace the 2-color ink roller (IR-40T). 1. Set POWER=OFF. 2. Remove the clear plastic printer-compartment cover. (Press down and push back to slide the cover off.) 3. Remove the old ink roller by lifting the tab (labeled PULL UP) on the left side of the roller.
[ Displays and prints the total, but does not clear the total. \ Displays and prints the total and clears the total. Also
resets the item counter (IC) to zero.

PULL UP

Displays and prints the value in memory and clears the memory. Also clears M from the display and resets the memory item counter to zero. Displays and prints the current total in memory but does not clear the memory. Subtracts the displayed number from memory. If a multiplication or division operation is pending, F completes it and subtracts the result from memory. Adds the displayed number to memory. If a multiplication or division operation is pending, N completes it and adds the result to memory.
; 4. Position the new ink roller and gently press down until it snaps into place on both sides. 5. Replace the cover. 6. Set POWER=PRT or IC.
Warning: Never refill or moisten the ink roller. This may damage the printing mechanism and void the warranty.

Printing (POWER Switch)

OFF The calculator is turned off. ON Calculations are displayed but not printed. PRT Calculations are displayed and printed. IC Both the printer and item counter are active. To clear the item counter, press \ or 0.

Currency Rates and Icons

The currencies of the countries that participate in the Monetary Union and their exchange rates are stored in a list in the calculator. Up to four additional currency rates can also be stored in CC1, CC2, CC3 and CC4.

Rounding (ROUND Switch)

Results are rounded down (if DECIMAL = 2, 2.349 rounds to 2.34). 5/4 Results are rounded up or down, depending on the value and decimal setting (if DECIMAL = 2, 2.349 rounds to 2.35). As shown above, the calculator display contains icons for the f and the Monetary Union currencies. For example, BEF = Belgian Franc, DEM = Deutsche Mark, and so forth. The following table shows each currency, its number in the list, its icon, and its exchange rate compared to the Euro. Setting Decimals (DECIMAL Switch)
For calculations that are not currency conversions: + F Lets you enter values with two decimal places without entering the decimal point (key in 5321 to get 53.21). The number of decimal places varies based on the result.

The first numbers (1 and 2) indicate the two currencies selected for conversion. The next three characters (#00 and #06) indicate the currencys list # in the calculators list of currencies. Euro is number 00, Lira is number 06. The third column shows the currencys exchange rate. The fourth column shows the f symbol for Euro and g for other currencies.
