Embedded Media Terminal Adapter
The RCA DHG525 is a second generation E-MTA device - an integrated voice over IP Cable Modem. This indoor E-MTA (Embedded Media Terminal Adapter) solution builds on Thomsons successful first generation E-MTA product and is based on DOCSIS2.0 and PacketCable standards. The DHG525 includes an integrated battery backup that supports up to 5-hour talk time and up to 8-hour standby time. DOCSIS2.0 and PacketCable Based Design
The voice cable modem product is designed to work on any DOCSIS 2.0 based HFC cable system and a PacketCable based telephony backend system.

Performance

Advanced silicon enables throughput of over 10 Megabits per second in UDP mode and 7 Mbps in TCP/IP mode.

Provides user with easy-to-use software that steps through the installation process.

Battery Backup

Up to five hour hour talk time, up to 8 hour standby integrated battery backup available as an option.

DOCSIS2.0 / PacketCable Based Design
The E-MTA is designed to work on any DOCSIS based HFC cable system (DOCSIS1.0, DOCSIS1.1, or DOCSIS2.0) and on PacketCable 1.0/1.1 networks.
