Summary
SecuRed offers a 200GB built-in hard disk which is protected by a free fall sensor and a spill-proof enclosure. Equipped with a fingerprint sensor, password security and hard disk encryption the product offers advanced security features in a lightweight, small, stylish red case. The hard disk drive comes with an array of sophisticated protection and security features: besides the spill-proof enclosure, SecuRed has an integrated Free Fall Sensor. It detects free falls, shocks or vibrations in all directions. On sensing this, it rapidly moves the HDD head from between the platters and prepares for impact, protecting valuable data. After the incident the user is able to log back on and access all the data without any problems. Besides protection against outside influences Toshiba attached great importance on securing stored data against unauthorized usage. The integrated fingerprint sensor allows only the authorized person to access the stored data and files. Password authentication based on a powerful AES-256 algorithm and an embedded software engine which supports hard disk encryption enables very strong data security. The hard disk drive is integrated into a colored case with a blue power-on light strip as an additional eye-catching feature. SecuRed is an attractive accessory to any laptop or desktop PC. And at 130 mm long by 85 mm wide and 19 mm tall, the drive does not take up much space in a carry case or on the desktop.
