Switching on 1. Place the device to a place, where GPS antenna can have unobstructed access to the sky. 2. Switch the power switch 1.2 to the ON position. 3. The green light 1.1 will turn on for a few seconds. 4. When the green and red lights flash at threesecond intervals, the device is searching for GPS satellites. 5. The device is operational when only the green light is blinking. 6. Please verify the device functionality with a test call and test location. Satellite connection is best achieved in the open air. The GPS power of the device should be set to Full power in the beginning and set to economy or off after the movement of the target is slow or stopped. (Power adjustment is made from the hunter device.) The device will not necessarily function properly if first GPS position is not got before the device is put on a dog. If the device is not seeing GPS satellites in 30 minutes, e.g. GPS antenna is towards floor or dog is indoor, the position must be searched again similary as in startup phase. The device gives the location of previous five minutes if the device cannot connect with the satellites (with defaul settings). When the battery power is low, the red light will flash. However, if the battery is completely depleted, there will be no light at all. 1. 3 1. 1 If the red light flashes at a fast rate following switching the device on, the SIM card of the device is either faulty or locked. Putting the collar on If the device is attached to a collar, it is important that the device is installed as shown in the picture 2 2.1 The GPS antenna should be diagonally facing the sky 2.2 The microphone is located next to the charger connection. Install it against the head of the dog. 2.3 The collar buckle is placed on the other side of the GPS antenna in order to force the GPS antenna to face the sky. Bark detector The device includes a bark detector and bark calculator. Bark calculator encloses into each location message the number of barks. Bark volume has four default values, which are adjusted from the hunter device. The device also includes bark/silence alarm. The alarm sends a message to the hunter device when the bark sequences are below/above preset values. Bark alarm, bark settings and monitoring sequence are adjusted in the hunter device. Bark detector may receive interruptions from different sources like branches in the forest. In this case the detector could indicate barking, even when the question is of irrelevant noises. If there are many interruptions or errors, it is possible to minimize them by changing the volume value. Charging / Lataus / Oppladning / Laddning 1. Turn off the device by turning the powers switch 1.2 from On -position twice around to Off position. You should turn the switch within 30 seconds, but not faster than 2 seconds. 2. The red light 1.1 will be lit for a few seconds and device shuts down. The device cannot be switched off from the power switch if tracking is activated. First stop the tracking then the device will switch off. Charging 1. Place the charger connector in the socket. 3.1 2. The red light 1.1 lit to show the device is charging. The charging may take up to seven hours if the battery is empty at beginning. 3. Charging is permitted in the temperature range of +10C - +30C.
Charge the battery fully before using device for the first time. This will help ensure the maximum capacity and lifecycle of the battery is achieved. The devices water resistance is weakened if it is opened. The guarantee will not cover faults for opened devices. Warranty Terms During the warranty period Tracker or its authorised maintenance company will within a reasonable period of time either repair the Product due to faulty materials, design or quality or, if so desired, change the Product to a new one in accordance with these warranty terms. This limited warranty is only valid in the country where the Product was purchased, unless otherwise agreed. The warranty period starts when the Product is sold for the first time to an End User. The warranty periods are: twenty-four (24) months for a positioning device and six (6) months for its accessories Any resale, repair or replacement of the Product do not extend, renew or change the warranty period of the Product in any way. However, the parts repaired and the Product replaced during the warranty period remain under the warranty until the end of the original warranty period, yet always at least for sixty (60) days from the repair date or the delivery of the replacement Product. When you wish to make a claim under the warranty, return the Product to Tracker or to a maintenance company. In order to claim under the warranty, you must inform Tracker or a maintenance company authorised by Tracker of the fault you have detected within a reasonable period of time after discovering the fault, and in any event, before the end of the warranty period. When claiming under the warranty, you must be able to present : a) the Product (or its faulty part), b) an original certificate of purchase stating the name and address of dealer, time and place of purchase and the serial number of the Product. This warranty will not cover the users manual of the Product, Tracker will not guarantee that any software of the Product (i) will fulfil all your demands, (ii) will work or be compatible with any device or software of a third party, (iii) will work uninterrupted or error-free. This warranty will not cover a) normal wear and tear b) any defects caused by the handling of the Product c) defects or damages caused by misuse of the Product or d) defects or damages caused by other acts beyond the reasonable control of Tracker. This warranty will not cover defects or alleged defects caused by the fact the Product was used with, or connected to, a product, accessories, software and/or service not manufactured or supplied by Tracker, or was used otherwise than for its intended use. You cannot make a claim under this warranty, if the Product has been altered or it has been opened or repaired by someone else other than the authorised maintenance company, if it has been repaired using other than official spare parts, or if the serial number of the Product, the date of the accessory or the IMEI number have been removed, rubbed off, altered or is according to Trackers view otherwise unclear. This warranty becomes void, if the Product has been exposed to extreme thermal or environmental conditions or to rapid changes in such conditions, or to chemical products. Other important notices: A third party, independent from Tracker, provides the SIM card, GSM network and GPS network on which the Product operates. Therefore, Tracker will not accept responsibility under this warranty for their operation, availability, coverage, services or range. When Tracker replaces any parts of the Product or other devices, the original parts or devices become the property of Tracker. If it turns out that the Product returned to Tracker or Trackers authorised maintenance company is not covered by this warranty, Tracker reserves the right, on behalf of itself and its authorised maintenance companies, to charge a handling fee for the returned Product. When repairing or replacing the Product, Tracker may use new, equivalent to new or repaired products or parts. This limited warranty is your sole and exclusive remedy against Tracker and Trackers sole and exclusive liability in respect of defects in your Product. Tracker does not assume any liability for indirect damage and Trackers liability shall be limited to the purchase value of the Product.
