| Somewhat Satisfied After two years, this drive finally went South on me. I wish hard drives were not so short lived. I guess two years is not so bad. Garbage item Only used about one month and it was broken. I had to back up data, reinstall OS and exchange the item with WD. | |

| This is a nice drive for the cash I spent. Product works well so far. Received it before the email came that said it shipped!! I find this unit is compact for my laptop backup. Dell has these WD products at a lower price than WD even on sale. | |

| Bought this drive to replace smaller drive in new Toshiba laptop. It is quick, quiet and no problems. I was so impressed. It seems to work pretty well. When I test it under Linux using the smartctl program. So far it works fine, however I noticed that it is not as quiet as the other disk I had before | |

| I cloned a 250 GB drive to this one using Seagate Discwizard. Worked perfectly. No problems Quiet, fast, reasonably priced. This thing is a piece of work. I had this for only a little over a year. | |

Full description
The S1854 Trinity 400 is a quality, high performance single processor mainboard. It boasts a high level of flexibility, offering PPGA-370 Celeron AND Intel Slot 1 Pentium II / III microprocessor support. Designed around the new VIA Apollo Pro 133A chipset, the S1854 delivers all of the features of the Intel BX chipset, plus 4x AGP, 133Mhz FSB and UDMA/66. With full 133Mhz bus support, this board is primed for supporting future processors and faster memory. The S1854 supports SPD SDRAM memory and ECC SDRAM. The S1854's PCI Local Bus and 32-bit AGP bus provide high performance capabilities that are ideal for a wide range of demanding applications such as: CAD, CAM, CAE, real-time 3D, and simulations. This integrated system board achieves the highest reliability and is based on a double row ATX form factor. Some of the features included are: on-board dual channel PCI IDE, on-board floppy controller, on-board high speed I/O, Universal Serial Bus, on-board PS/2 mouse connector, and optional on-board Creative Labs sound (available only in S1854-A models). Flexibility and expandability have been designed into the S1854. With I/O and drive controller support built on-board, the S1854 allows many upgrade paths not found on other boards. With three 168-pin DIMM sockets, the S1854 can provide a very flexible memory configuration of up to 768MB SPD SDRAM or SDRAM+ECC in addition to 100MHz SDRAMs.
