Operation Insert 3xAA batteries into the battery box connected to the receiver board. Insert 3xAAA batteries into the remote control. The receiver board has 8 outputs in total: 6 digital and 2 analogue (PWM). The outputs use the driver IC ULN2803A and can supply up to 500mA each. Outputs 1 and 2 are the analogue outputs (PWM). They can be adjusted using the Volume and Program controls on the IR remote. Buttons 1 and 2 on the remote toggle the analogue outputs between fully on and fully off. Outputs 3 to 8 are the digital outputs. Buttons 3 to 8 on the remote control toggle the state of each output when pressed. A separate power supply can be used with the driver chip if a higher voltage is required (maximum 50V). This power supply will only be used to drive the outputs. To connect the separate driver power, it is very important that you first remove the jumper header from JP1 (this disconnects the 4.5V power from the driver chip), and connect the power supply to the two pads labelled EXT (observing polarity).
