BLUETOOTH HANDS-FREE PHONE SYSTEM SETUP
Follow these easy step-by-step instructions to set up your phone to utilize Bluetooth wireless technology on your vehicle.
STEP 1:PREPARE YOUR PHONE STEP 2:PREPARE YOUR VEHICLE STEP 3:PAIR YOUR PHONE TO YOUR VEHICLE STEP 4:ADDING YOUR CONTACTS TO THE VEHICLE PHONEBOOK
UTSTARCOM XV6600 SETUP INSTRUCTIONS
Get started utilizing Bluetooth wireless technology in your vehicle. After this one-time setup, Bluetooth will automatically activate when you are in your car with the phone on.

STEP 1: PREPARE YOUR PHONE
Deselect automatic sleep mode: 1. Select Start 2. Select Settings 3. Select Systems tab 4. Select Power 5. Select Advanced tab 6. Deselect Turn off Device if Not Used for ___ Seconds Turn Bluetooth on: 1. Go to Today Screen 2. Select Start 3. Select Settings 4. Select Connections tab at the bottom of the screen 5. Select Bluetooth 6. Select General tab at the bottom of the screen 7. Select Turn On button listed under Bluetooth Status Name your Bluetooth phone: 1. Go to Today Screen 2. Select Start 3. Select Settings 4. Select Connections tab at the bottom of the screen 5. Select Bluetooth 6. Select Accessibility tab at the bottom of the screen 7. De-select Use the PocketPC device name for Bluetooth check-box 8. Enter desired name 9. Select OK at top right of screen to exit
STEP 2: PREPARE YOUR VEHICLE
1. Press the Setting button 2. Select Phone 3. Select Bluetooth Setup 4. Select Pair Phone 5. Select desired entry (overwrite existing or new)
STEP 3: PAIR YOUR PHONE TO THE VEHICLE
1. Go to Today Screen 2. Select Start 3. Select Settings 4. Select Connections tab at the bottom of the screen 5. Select Bluetooth icon 6. Select General tab at the bottom of the screen 7. Select Bluetooth Manager link at the bottom of the screen 8. Select New below the My Shortcuts tab in the Tool Bar at the bottom of the screen 9. Select Hands-Free/Headset Setup 10. Select Next at the bottom of the screen 11. Select Next at the bottom of the screen to start setup 12. Select MY-CAR 13. Select FINISH 14. Enter PIN code 1234 15. Press Return using the soft on-screen keyboard 16. Select OK at the top right of screen to exit

STEP 4:

Option 1: Adding Contacts Via Controller: On your vehicle: 1. Press Setting button on the center multifunction control panel 2. Select Phone 3. Select Phonebook 4. Select None (Add New) 5. Select Bluetooth
ADDING YOUR CONTACTS TO THE VEHICLE PHONEBOOK Each paired phone has its own dedicated phonebook. Each phonebook can store up to 1,000 contacts. Each phonebook can store up to 40 voice tags (voice-activated dialing).
Option 2: Adding Contacts Via Controller/Touchscreen: 1. Press Setting button on the center multifunction control panel 2. Select Phone 3. Select Phonebook 4. Select None (Add New) 5. Select Keypad 6. Enter contact name 7. Enter contact number Option 3: Adding Contacts Via Call Logs: 1. Press Setting button on the center multifunction control panel 2. Select Phone 3. Select Phonebook 4. Select None (Add New) 5. Select Outgoing Calls or Incoming Calls 6. Select contact number 7. Select Yes to add a voice tag 8. Say the name of the contact
On your phone: 6. Go to Today Screen 7. Select Start 8. Select Contacts 9. Select desired contact 10. Select Tools from the Tool Bar at the bottom of screen 11. Select Send via Bluetooth 12. Select MY-CAR 13. Select OK from upper right corner of the screen to start transfer 14. Select OK after transfer is complete 15. Select OK at top right of screen to exit
8. Select Yes to add a voice tag 9. Say the name of the contact
On your vehicle: 16. Select Yes to add a voice tag 17. Say the name of the contact
