1. Tastenfunktionen/Bedienung RECHTE TASTE (MODE-Taste) LINKE TASTE (SET-Taste)
Im Betriebsmodus: Wechsel zwischen den Display Modi: TOT, P01 TRP, CLK. Im Einstell-Modus (SET-Mode): Einstellungen vornehmen (Ziffern einstellen) I m Betriebsmodus: ffnen des Einstell-Modus (SET-Mode) fr Radgre, Uhr und Gesamtkilometer. Im Einstell-Modus (SET-Mode): Auswahl der zu ndernden Ziffer.
1. Button Function RIGHT BUTTON (MODE-Button) LEFT BUTTON (SET-Button)
In Cycling Mode: Use this button to progress through the TOT, P01 TRP, CLK screens. In SET-Mode: Use this key to adjust values within the Set-up screen Use this button to access the set-up screens for Wheelsize, Clock and Odometer. In SET-Mode: Selection of digit to be changed

5.4 UHRZEIT EINSTELLEN Der VDO A4 zeigt die Uhrzeit im 24 h Format an. Drcken Sie im CLK Modus die SET-Taste fr 3 Sekunden. Ihr Computer wechselt nun automatisch STEP 1 in den Eingabemodus fr die Uhrzeit. P07 Stellen Sie mit der MODE-Taste die blinkenden Stunden ein. STEP 2 Besttigen Sie Ihre Einstellung mit der SET-Taste ==> Minutenwert blinkt. Stellen Sie mit der MODE-Taste die blinkenden Minuten ein. (Taste halten zum Schnelldurchlauf). STEP 3 Drcken Sie die SET-Taste fr etwa 3 Sekunden, um den Einstellvorgang zu beenden und zur Anzeige CLK STEP 4 zurckzukehren.
5.4 CLOCK SETTING Your VDO A4 shows actual time in 24:00 (hh:mm) format. STEP 1 CLK into display. Press and Hold SET-button for 3 sec. The Clock SET-Mode will be shown in Get display. STEP 2 Use the MODE-button to change the flashing hour-digits. Hold MODE-button for fast setting. Confirm your settings by pressing the SET-button. This confirmation will also change to Minute-setting. Use the MODE-button to change the flashing Minute- digits. Hold MODE-button for fast setting. STEP 3 Press and hold SET-button for 3 sec. to finish Clock-Setting and return to CLK-display. STEP 4
5.5 PROGRAMMIERUNG DES GESAMTSTRECKENZHLERS TOT Der Gesamtstreckenzhler kann programmiert werden, um z.B. nach einem Batteriewechsel gelschte Werte wiederherzustellen oder Werte von einem lteren Computer auf den A4 zu bertragen. STEP 1 Drcken Sie im TOT Modus die SET-Taste fr 3 Sekunden. P08 Stellen Sie mit der MODE-Taste die blinkende Ziffer ein. STEP 2 Besttigen Sie Ihre Einstellung mit der SET-Taste ==> die nchste Ziffer blinkt. Wiederholen Sie diesen Einstellvorgang bis alle Ziffern richtig eingestellt sind. STEP 3 STEP 4 Drcken Sie die SET-Taste fr etwa 3 Sekunden, um den Einstellvorgang zu beenden und zur Anzeige TOT zurckzukehren.
5.5 PROGRAMMING OF ODOMETER The total distance counter TOT can be programmed anytime, for example after a change of battery or to enter the TOT data of your old computer into your new A4. STEP 1 Get TOT into display, press and Hold SET-button for 3 sec. The TOT-Set-Mode will be shown in P08 display. STEP 2 Press MODE-button to change the flashing digit to requested value. Confirm this setting by pressing the SET-button and simultaneously change to next digit (flashing). STEP 3 Repeat STEP 1 and STEP 2 until all digits have been set to requested value. Press and Hold SET-button for 3 sec. to finish TOT-setting and return to TOT-display. STEP 4

6. Mounting 6.1 MOUNTING OF MAGNET AND SENSOR Important! Watch Out when mounting! The distance between Sensor and magnet should be 1 to 5 mm. Loosely mount Sensor on the front fork using the zip ties, so that you can still make final STEP 1 P09 adjustments. Mounting on right or left side of the fork is possible. Loosely mount the magnet at the spoke, so that you still can do final adjustments. STEP 2 The magnet must point towards the sensor-marking on the Transmitter. Make final adjustments of the magnet towards the Sensor-marking, ensure the distance between the magnet and STEP 3 the sensor marking is 1 to 5 mm. To get that distance also adjust the Sensor towards the magnet. To finally fix the Sensor. Pull zip-ties tight. Cut off remaining zip-tie-parts. STEP 4 To finally fix the magnet. Press the magnet-shell until the magnet is securely fixed at the spoke. STEP 5 Keep the wire neat by winding it around the fork and along the brake-cable upwards to the handlebar. STEP 6 CHECK: During mounting move the handlebar and check the suspension-travel (in case of a suspension fork) to make sure the wire is not overstretched and may be ripped off while riding.

Maintenez la touche MODE enfonce pour un rglage rapide. ETAPE 4 Maintenez la touche SET enfonce pendant 3 sec. pour valider le rglage de lhorloge et revenir lcran CLK.
5.4 IMPOSTAZIONE OROLOGIO Il vostro computer VDO A4 mostra lora nel formato 24 ore (hh:mm) PUNTO 1 Visualizzate CLK sul display.Tenete premuto il tasto SET per 3 secondi. P07 La modalit impostazione orologio sar visualizzata sul display. PUNTO 2 Utilizzate il tasto MODE per modificare le cifre delle ore che lampeggiano. Tenete premuto il tasto MODE per u nimpostazione rapida. Confermate la vostra scelta premendo il tasto SET. Questa conferma modificher anche limpostazione dei minuti. Utilizzate il tasto MODE per modificare le cifre dei minuti che lampeggiano. Tenete premuto il tasto MODE per PUNTO 3 unimpostazione rapida. Tenete premuto il tasto SET per 3 secondi per completare limpostazione dellorologio e quindi tornate al display PUNTO 4 CLK.

7. Test of Function After installation, please check function of your VDO A4. Lift the front wheel of your bike. Turn the front wheel. Within 2 to 4 seconds a speed reading should be in display of your VDO A4. Otherwise re-check the magnet position and the distance of the magnet towards the Sensor-marking. Re-adjust the position and distance and check again. We wish you many enjoyable rides and trips on your bike with your VDO A4 cycle computer. In case of any technical problems contact your dealer. 8. Warranty disclaimer VDO Cycle Parts warrants your VDO-Computer for 3 years from date of purchase. This warranty covers defects in material and workmanship. Defects on cables, senders, transmitters and mounting materials resulting from normal wear and tear, improper care, accidents, abuse or alteration are not covered by our warranty. Opening the computer housing (except for the battery door) is considered abuse, thus not covered by our 3 year warranty. Please keep your sales receipt to prove that your computer is covered under the warranty in case of legitimate complaints. In case of legitimate complaints you are entitled to have your computer either repaired or replaced with a comparable model. Due to possible model changes, your model might have been discontinued. In the event that you should have a complaint, please first contact the retailer where you purchased your VDO computer.
