The SSB sets the computer for you in no time at all. Language, time, wheel size and total kilometres can be set by pressing a few buttons. Setting the computer now takes just seconds. You can also do the RESET with the SSB. The SSB can be used to do an overall reset, kilometres or ride time reset, just as you please. Furthermore you can use the SSB as a test station in the workshop.

From biking to hiking

Hiking mode
All models can be switched from bike mode to hiking mode The Series-Z was indeed designed as a bike computer, but it can also be used for hiking, jogging, Nordic walking and other sports. The heart rate measurement is fully available in hiking mode. In the altitude measurement, the meters of uphill and downhill climbs are stored in the special hiking mode memory. Thus we are able to know the precise results while cycling or Nordic walking. For the hiking mode, the computer can be transformed into a sports watch with a well-adjustable wrist strap.

In the models Z1, Z3 and Z3 PC-Link, the wattage can be calculated. For this, the cadence must be installed. The calculation algorithm takes into account several adjustable influencing factors, such as Weight Rolling resistance (via tire type) Aerodynamic drag (via sitting position) Under the same conditions the watt display gives comparable watt values that can be used for an analysis of the training progress.

Planned quality
For each new series of models, we are already thinking about the quality during the development stage. Quality criteria are determined for each component and quality tests defined for each phase of production. In addition we have equipped our computers with an automatic test routine. The display, wireless transmission, transmitter pairing and data download are tested automatically. This facilitates the quality control process during and after production. The wireless transmitters are also tested thoroughly for perfect wireless transmission during manufacture using specially designed test software.

Quality is based in production
Quality has to be produced. To do that successfully, quality controls are continually conducted during the entire production process. Printed circuit boards are checked, displays inspected and receiver chips must show that they can receive data. Only then are all the parts put together.

Pressure test

Full final inspection
At the end of production, a complete check on the function of each computer is made by our own quality inspection team. Wireless transmission, button function, software check, data download, rain test and climate chamber are just some of the stages in the final inspection.

Functional test before despatch
Only once this final inspection has been passed are the computers prepared for despatch. Before packing, another check is made on each appliance using an automatic test station.

Main Menu SET Set menu: Confirm language and time, Select kilometers or miles Set wheel sizes(either by Setting via wheelsizeschart or wheel-circumference ), Do so for bike 1 and, if needed, for bike 2. Enter the total mileage of bike 1 and, if needed, for bike 2. Use the keypad to enter the digits. If service interval setting is needed, enter the interval-distance by using the keypad. Successful transmission is confirmed in X-display by DATA SETTING DONE. Main Menu RESET: - TOTAL RESET: all data from bicycle computer will be reset - TOUR DATA: all data from the last trip will be reset - TOTAL KM: all total Km will be reset - TOTAL RIDETIME: will do reset of total ridetime Main Menu TEST MODE Test mode: select wired or wireless model by using or button. Use the menu button M to confirm. Signals will be sent from Set box to computer, either wired or wireless. The computer-display shows a speed for wired and wireless models. Wireless models will show cadence too.
