What you should know

Vitolig/Vitoligno boilers are offered for logs and wood pellets. See below for information about storage and purchase.
Wood storage Not only is the combustion of moist timber uneconomical, but low combustion temperatures also lead to high emissions plus tar deposits inside the chimney stack. Wood has its highest calorific value after being dried for several years in a well-protected place. Here are a few tips: S plit round logs with a diameter of 10cm or more S tack logs in a ventilated and preferably sunny spot underneath a canopy I f possible, stack logs with generous air gaps to enable flowing air to absorb the dissipating moisture tack logs on a support timber so moist air S can escape downwards ever store freshly cut wood in a cellar, as N air and sunshine are required for drying. However, dry wood can be stored in ventilated cellars.
Pellet properties 100% natural wood remnants are used to produce pellets. This raw material is waste matter created in large volumes by the timber processing industry through planing or sawing. Fine-grained wood remnants are compressed under high pressure and formed into pellets, i.e. pressed into a cylindrical shape. The fuel is stored and transported in perfectly dry conditions. System users must also ensure absolutely dry storage conditions. Only through these precautions can perfect and effective combustion be ensured. Currently, wood pellets are offered in sacks of 15 to 30kg, in large boxes up to 1000kg, on pallets, and in bulk. In their loose form, pellets are transported by bulk tanker and pumped into the storage room via a hose system. If an oil heating system is to be completely replaced by a new pellet heating system, the room in the cellar that was previously used to store fuel oil is ideally suited for this purpose.

The Vitolig 200 offers you a high quality wood gasification boiler for logs up to 50cm in length. With an output of 13 to 40kW, the Vitolig 200 offers sufficient capacity for supplying heat to larger living spaces. Swallows a lot and burns for a long time 50cm long logs are easily handled by the large stainless steel hopper. Combustion can last for up to 12 hours. This means you can leave the house in cold weather for several hours, safe in the knowledge that there is no risk of the heating going off. Furthermore, it is not necessary to recharge during the night.
The unique automatic heat-up system ensures that the combustion chamber temperature required for optimum combustion is reached within three minutes of start-up. In the hopper, the logs are only brought to incandescence. The wood gas this creates is drawn off, enriched with oxygen and drawn into the ceramic combustion chamber, where the combustible wood gas is burned cleanly at high temperatures and with low emissions. This mode of operation achieves 92%efficiency. Pellet storage with supply systems for every application.
For lasting and reliable operation, the pellet boiler, supply system and pellet store must form a matching unit. Wood pellets can be supplied by means of tankers and blown into the pellet storeroom. A hose length of 30metres should not be exceeded when filling the storeroom. If longer hose lengths are to be expected, please consult your pellet supplier to clarify his technical capabilities.
The access route must be suitable for tankers. Generally a road width of at least 3metres and an overhead clearance of at least 4metres isrequired. If possible, the storage room should have an adjoining outside wall. There should be a 230volt power supply for the pellet supplier's vacuum fan and an electrical isolator for the pellet boiler.
Storage with supply system to the pellet boiler via vacuum system The version with the vacuum supply system can be used wherever the storage room is not directly adjoining the installation location of the pellet boiler. Pellets can be transported over a distance of up to 15metres with the vacuum supply system. The flexible positioning of this system enables installation even in tight spaces. The vacuum supply system can also be adapted to a room discharge auger or a pellet silo.

Storage with supply system to the pellet boiler via flexible auger If the storage room or the pellet silo is situated immediately adjacent to the boiler room, pellets can be supplied to the pellet boiler via a flexible auger directly to the rotary lock valve. Using this system, a pellet hopper at the boiler is not required. The drive unit for the flexible auger is installed right at the boiler on the rotary lock valve.

From boilers to fuel discharge and fuel supply systems, Mawera products are suitable for all types of wood. All system components are from one single supplier. The various combustion systems are outstanding and can be charged with all types of wood fuel. Underfeed combustion This proven combustion system with a rated output of 110 to 4200kW is designed for the automatic combustion of dry to moist fuels from commerce, industry and forestry with a size of up to P100 (depending on the fuel transport). Every day, approximately 3000 Mawera underfeed combustion systems
supply energy made from wood fuel for process heat and the heating of buildings. The Mawera dual grate underfeed combustion with a combined internal/external grate retort in the output range from 110 to 850kW is also optionally available with a movable external grate. This guarantees optimum combustion conditions for even very moist and criticalfuels. Flat moving grate combustion Depending on the fuel type, the Mawera flat moving grate with a rated output of 110 to 13000kW can be charged either with an auger or hydraulic supply device. The flat moving grate combustion is suitable for obtaining energy from dry to very moist (freshly sawn) fuel and guarantees minimum emissions with maximum efficiency. This combustion system ensures combustion without slag formation and fully automatic ashremoval.
Direct firing system Direct firing is a high-temperature fluidised bed system for the utilisation of energy from waste wood in industrial wood processing. The very dry and dust-like fuel is blown through one or more pipelines into the fully deaerated and highly insulated combustion chamber. The carrier air required simultaneously serves as primary combustion air. The nozzle layout, in combination with the specially developed combustion geometry, ensure the turbulences and flow characteristics necessary for the optimum complete burnout of the fuel. The heat storage in the fireclay mass ensures correspondingly high combustion chamber temperatures, which guarantee lowemissions.
Tailor-made system solutions Generally, every project is individually engineered and adapted to the special requirements of the user. Included in this preparation are extensive services, such as creating a concept, organising service and installation, testing emissions and carrying out analyses, as well as the modernisation of existing systems.
