It has a powerful processor, great for surfing the net.But the sound card is aweful. This was a big risk for me when i bought going in. But I have to say i can breathe a HUGE sigh of relief.

I love this laptop, it is my fist laptop! It holds a lot of space and has a wide screen. It is light enough to be portable and a pc.

Beyond what I expected! This laptop is awesome! First off, it arrived two days before the earliest estimated date! poor sound While I received the item much quicker than I had expected, I would not purchase the item again. The sound quality is awful.
JeffDM 5:43pm on Thursday, March 18th, 2010
Disappointed This is the second laptop. The first one I returned within the 30 days because of system issues. I should have been forewarned. Thrilled!! This laptop is just what I needed. It has all of the features that I wanted and it works great.

Thank you for purchasing a Yamaha DS60-112 Powered Speaker. The DS60-112 Powered Speaker is equipped with a built-in 60-watt amplifier and a single 30cm Celestion speaker. Connecting a DG-Stomp, DG-1000 or other pre-amplifier to the DS60-112 creates a 60-watt guitar amplifier system. Adding a DS60112 to a DG60FX-112 creates a stereo guitar amplifier system. Also, the SLAVE OUT jack allows the connection of a second (or multiple) DS60-112 making it possible to create a 120W or 180W system. The DS60-112 can also be used to upgrade existing guitar amplifier systems. To get the best results and longest life out of your DS60-112, we recommend that you carefully read this manual, and keep it in a safe place for future reference.

G Do not apply excessive force to the switches and controls. G Your Yamaha powered speaker is a precision musical instrument. Handle it with care and avoid dropping or bumping it. G Operating temperatures will rise during use. Make sure the amplifier is used in a well-ventilated area. The DS60-112 should be placed in a position were there is at least 30cm (12) clearance from the wall on the sides, top and back of the amplifier. G For safety, always remove the power plug from the AC wall outlet if there is any danger of lightning striking in your area. G Keep the amplifier away from neon signs or fluorescent lighting to prevent noise pickup. G To prevent damage and possibly electrical shock, never open the case and tamper with the internal circuitry. G Never use benzene, thinner or other volatile liquids for cleaning, as these chemicals may cause damage or discoloration to the finish. Always use a dry, soft cloth to wipe off dust and dirt.

Nomenclature

I Control Panel

q INPUT Jack (INPUT)

This is the DS60-112s INPUT jack. The cable carrying the output signal from an external device, such as the DG-Stomps OUTPUT jack; the DG60FX-112s LINE OUT jack, etc. is connected to this jack. * Before making any connections, make sure that the power switch is set to OFF.
r Equalizer Controls (TREBLE, MIDDLE, BASS)
Controls the level of their respective frequencies. TREBLE (high frequencies), MIDDLE (middle frequencies), BASS (low frequencies). When set to 0, the tone will be flat, rotate the knob to the left (minus) to cut the frequency, and rotate to the right (plus) to boost the frequency.
w Volume Control (VOLUME)
Controls the volume of the speaker.
t Expansion Output Jack (SLAVE OUT)
The signal received via the INPUT jack is transmitted from this jack although with its impedance converted (the signal also bypasses the equalizer circuit). When adding another powered speaker unit, such as another DS60-112, connect the additional unit to this jack.
e Equalizer Switch (EQ ON/OFF)
This is the ON/OFF switch for the equalizer circuit (TREBLE, MIDDLE, BASS). Set to ON (>), the equalizer circuit is active and the three knobs r can be used to adjust their respective frequencies. Set the switch to OFF (?) if you want to produce only the direct sound created by the external device, with no additional alteration.
y Power Switch & Lamp (POWER)
This is the DS60-112s power switch. When the switch is depressed, the lamp next to the switch will light. * To protect the speaker from damage, always make sure that the Volume Control w is set to 0 before the power is switched ON/OFF.

How to use the DS60-112
