Exclusive to Fox Filter Housings*, these integral safety cages preclude items such as dropped pens, coins, and most other objects from falling downstream into the compressor or blower at time of change out of the lter element. Series FXC10 and FXC12 Air Intake Filters add a sound attenuation chamber to the design of the FXB10 and FXB12. Two sound absorption cylinders combine with a single side bafe to reduce undesirable sound escaping from the equipment's air inlet. The straight ow path limits unwanted pressure drop.

One Stage Panel Filters

All seams are seal welded, not caulked or tack welded. Our lter panels are held in place with 3/8" wing nuts, not metal clips. We offer the highest quality workmanship backed by our unequaled turn around time. Our team also offers housings in 304 Stainless Steel and other materials with all seams seal welded against leakage. A perforated stainless steel safety cage guarding the outlet is standard. Silencer materials are also added. This lter panel incorporates pleated polyester lter media @ 10 retention. Panels can be cleaned by using indirect compressed air or mild detergent cleaning solution. Woven wire screen armors both faces of the synthetic lter media. A pull strap across the face of the panel ensures ease in maintenance. The frame is one-piece electrogalvinized steel. Downstream expanded metal or woven wire face screen. Support legs, weather hoods, gauges, P Taps, spring latches, and louvers.

Series FXE22 In-Line Air & Gas Filters are similar to enameled steel series FXE20 but are constructed instead from 304 stainless steel. Filter elements w/304 SS media support screen &/or center cores are also available if desired. Three Styles of Exhaust Elements Available
Classic Two Stage Microglass Exhaust Elements are time honored performers. However, their non-pleated cylindrical construction can generate a higher pressure drop (typ. P 2 psi clean) and require a larger lter housing to accept the physically large exhaust element. Newer High Flow Low P Pleated Microglass Elements have permitted a less expensive more compact housing design together with a proven much lower pressure drop. Their extended lter area effectively retains both particulates and mist droplets with removal performance to 0.3 The extended lter area provides superior dirt and particulate retention capacities. Polyester Felt its proven!
The lions share of air intake applications are served admirably by Fox #5 polyester felt media. It's classic in its performance at 98% retention of particles measuring 10 and larger. Unlike cellulosic media, polyester felt has a signicant value as a torturous path material, aording superior ow characteristics over a longer useful life. It's inherently lower resistance to ow permits more open n spacing for greater dirt holding capacity and easier cleaning with an air hose or spray gun. For superior low micron capture, our #7 polyester felt can stop 98% of all particles 4 & larger.
How To Get Under A Micron
Polyester felts are exceptionally rugged high performance lter media, but when viewed microscopically in comparison with berglass bers, they bring to mind the old adage: What size particles can you stop with a stack of telephone poles versus a stack of garden hoses? Glass can be drawn to a very ne lament, and when subsequently manufactured into felted media, it can present remarkably tiny openings through which small particles and liquid droplets (i.e. mists) simply cannot pass. Unlike calendered spun bonded plastic media such as polypropylene, berglass media can oer superior porosity, and lower P permitting higher ows. Microstrand glass media such as #105, #51, #108, and #904 remove particles from 2 to a certiable 0.1 absolute. They also oer excellent performance in mist elimination.

Sewn-End Style Cylindrical, Double Open Ended (DOE) with attached textile gasket seal, perforated steel center core. Filter media is sewn or ultrasonically bonded over a pleated woven wire cage. The large sewn end lter is illustrated with optional backwash screen banded to the exterior of the lter media. Sewn end style lter elements can serve in high temperatures (700+F with all glass lter media) or environments with aggressive chemistry that might otherwise attack lters with molded ends. However, with the newest Polyurethanes now being used, molded ends can replace sewn end elements for most common services at a fraction of the cost.

Factory Recover Service:

We recover all brands and makes of sewn end lters. If the soiled lter is safe to handle, return it to us. We will replace the lter media and gaskets, at a fraction of the cost of a new lter. Owing to the extra care we put into the manufacture of our own sewn end lter elements, we can factory recover them forever. Please note: We cannot rebuild lters that have been subjected to hazardous service or environments beyond their design expectations. For safety reasons, MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets,) or Certicates of Compliance are required prior to accepting lter elements for recovery.

A backwash screen is useful if the uid ow is ever reversed to clean and extend the service life. For top performance, we pleat backwash screens to full height & full n depths. Fin spacers are corrugated metal strips placed within the interior pocket of each pleat to promote ow in high P, or liquid service. We oer all options, including alternate lter media (does your P/N end in dierent numbers?), and 304SS metal parts. Please contact us if your P/N is close.

- Lower P, Longer Life More than 50 years ago, lter elements just like these challenged the worst conditions in in military and industrial services. Today, their design endures as the nest air/gas lters made.

PVC Molded End Style - Cylindrical, double open ends (DOE) of vinyl (PVC) rubber, perforated or expanded metal center core, pleated textile, paper, or wire screen lter media. ODs 3" -36", OVHTs 2" - 40", Pleat depths from 0.5" - 4.25". These are arguably the nest built, self sealing, low micron, low P, high ow, eld cleanable, and fool proof lter elements available today.
e manufacture a broad range of sizes over all heights to 40", (If you need something larger we can manufacture it, just contact us). outside diameters to 36", and inside diameters from 1" to 30". They can handle air/gas ows to 20,000 CFM. Some provide true particle retentions down to 0.1 (micron).
These molded end lters are cylindrically shaped. They are designed to cover an intake opening, being held in place by a reuseable plate tting over a center rod assembly. They have solid vinyl rubber ends, heavy duty perforated steel center cores, and radially pleated lter media jacketed with woven wire screen. Their textile media are well known for superior performance over fragile paper media. This rugged construction eliminates n collapse, yields higher ows, longer life, and lower P!

Rugged Molded Ends.

The lter media, support screens, and element cores are all held together by the PVC ends. We use the very best vinyl rubber for the end seals. They are unusually rugged and resilient. Service lives are remarkable. Like other rugged duty rubber, our standard end seals are black. ever see a blue car tire? We carve production molds from solid aluminum for exacting end seals. These seals stop dirt cold, and resist cracks with age, moisture, or vibrational punishment. Optional RTV ends can
serve temperatures to nearly 500F, and oil & gas resistant PVC can handle oil wetted service.
An Element's Core Is Its Heart.
A lter with a weak center core is a house built of straw. We routinely use 16 and 20 gauge perforated steel with 58% open area for low P and high column strength to support the innermost end seal. We weld metal core seams and use premium corrosion inhibitors that will not ake o as paint can. These elements are designed to stand up to abuse.
