1996 YAMAHA KODIAK WINCH MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS PLEASE NOTE: THE ROLLER HAWSE, CABLE CLAMP, CABLE STOP AND HARDWARE ARE INCLUDED WITH THE WINCH. KIT NUMBER: 25-5090
1. Place the two 3/8 U-Bolts onto the front bumper tubes as shown in diagram below. Place the bottom edge of the Winch Mount Plate on of the brush guard just above the brush guard bolts. Roll Winch Mount Plate up and secure to the ATV using the 3/8 U-Bolts. Secure the Rear of the Winch Mount Plate using the 5/16 U-Bolts

Winch Installation

Go to the Installation Instructions that match your winch.
The different types of winches use different mounting holes and mounting bolts. There will be bolts that are not used for the different mounting situations. 1500# & ATV 2000 SUPERWINCH MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS When attaching the Superwinch to the Winch Mounting Plate, the Hawse Mount Plate will be placed between the winch and the Winch Mount Plate. Be sure Motor is to the LEFT. Refer to the parts diagram above. Remove one of the long rollers to allow the winch cable to be strung through. Then reinstall the long roller. Do not tighten fully. Allow Roller to turn freely. WARN 2000 WINCH INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Place the Warn Winch on top of the Winch Mount Plate. Be sure the Motor is on the Right side. Secure the Winch to the Mount Plate using the four bolts supplied with the Warn Winch. Remove the Hawse Mount Plate from the Hawse Frame. The Hawse Mount Plate will not be used in this application. Remove one of the long rollers to allow the winch cable to be strung through. Then reinstall the long roller. Do not tighten fully. Allow Roller to turn freely. Secure the Hawse Frame to the Warn Winch using the two 3/8 x 1 Bolts supplied.

CAUTION BE AWARE OF WHEN THE CABLE STOP CONTACTS THE ROLLER HAWSE AS CABLE IS WOUND IN. FAILURE TO RELEASE MAY CAUSE DAMAGE TO WINCH PARTS OR TO THE ATV.
When using the winch to raise and lower a Cycle Country Blade a Cable Stop must be installed.
1. Hook the Winch Cable to the U608 (item # 3 on your 15-0001 push tube kit) through the slotted hole. Carefully raise the blade until the tubes of the push tube are no closer than 1 anywhere on the ATV. Place the Cable Stop onto the Winch Cable up against the Winch Hawse. Secure the Cable Stop to the Winch Cable using the Cable Clamp Assembly as shown in the pictures below.
