New Mini-YGDAl mLAN Card for Unprecedented Network Connectivity
This new addition to Yamahas lineup of compact, convenient Mini-YGDAl plug-in cards adds unprecedented connectivity to compatible Yamaha products. The MY8-mLAN allows connection to high-speed, high-productivity Yamaha mLAN music networks, drastically reducing the number of discrete connections and cables required while providing maximum flexibility and reliability.

Yamahas innovative mLAN networking system neatly overcomes the problems of complexity and inflexibility in many of todays music production systems by allowing many channels of digital audio and MIDI music data to be transferred via a single IEEE1394 standard cable Extremely powerful music systems can be quickly and easily configured using mLAN-compatible musical instruments, computer components, and interface devices. Adding devices to or removing devices from an mLAN system is easy too, with none of the frustration and down time incurred when reconfiguring conventional systems. The MY8-mLAN card brings this connectivity to products such as the AW4416 Professional Audio workstation or 01 V Digital Mixer. and it comes with the mLAN Patchbay application software for convenient audio and MIDI signal routing on computer-based svstems

MY8-mLAN System Example
In this hard-disk multitrack recording system based on the 01V Digital mixer, the computer, 01V and MOTIF keyboard are interconnected using only IEEE1394 cables. The only conventional connections are the analog microphone inputs to the mixer. Note that the computer can be directly connected to the network without the need for any extra PCI cards or interface hardware.
