ZyXEL Prestige 660H-D ADSL Router
Important - if you have another broadband modem installed on your computer it must be uninstalled before continuing. Fitting Microfilters (splitters) you need to ensure that all the devices connected to your phone line are filtered using the supplied microfilters, in order for ADSL to work correctly

Fit a Microfilter in-between the wall socket and each device that shares the telephone line. This applies not just to telephones but can also include fax machines, burglar alarms, and any digital satellite equipment. You should have received two microfilters with your router. Plug the power supply into the back of your router (socket marked Power), then plug the other end of the power supply into the nearest mains socket. Plug one end of the black telephone cable into the DSL socket on the back of the router and plug the other end into the microfilter (attached to your phone line in step 1). The microfilter socket is also marked DSL. Press the Power button on the back of the router to switch it on. The PWR/SYS light on the front will flash and then turn green. Wait until the DSL/PPP light stops flashing green and turns orange. This may take a minute or more. Once the light is orange, your Prestige 660 router has been successfully set-up. You can now plug computers into the router using the Ethernet (red) cable. Troubleshooting If the DSL light continues to flash for more that a minute, check your ADSL cable and Microfiters, and only use the cables provided in the pack. Ensure no other broadband equipment is installed on your computer. For more help, view the included Quick Start Guide, or the detailed manual included on the CD

Getting Connected

Important: This guide assumes that youve already installed your router. You should complete steps 1 to 5 before proceeding with the instructions on this page. The guide presents how to connect using your routers Ethernet connection. You can find more in the Quick Start Guide.
Start your Internet browser and type in the address 192.168.1.1 Click Login on the Enter Password screen. The default password is 1234. Click Ignore on the Change Password screen Select Go to Wizard Setup. Click Apply. Click on Internet Setup and go through the wizard. Do not change any default settings. Enter your username and password as supplied by your corporate Administrator/Helpdesk Now When the wizard is completed you will be able to Log on to the Internet!
Congratulations - your ZyXEL Prestige 660 is now connected to your broadband account. Any computer connected to the router should now be able to browse the Internet Note that once these details have been set you should not need to enter them again. Simply start your email client or web browser and you will be connected automatically.
Troubleshooting Tips: If the Configuration Manager screen does not appear, you may need to change your computers network settings. Note that the Configuration Management settings are password protected (called the System ID) and is set to 1234 by default. You can reset the router back to factory default by pressing the reset button on the back of the router for 10 seconds.
