Part of the Motorola M3 Media Server family, the Motorola M3-C600 & M3-C1000 Media Center products provide modular, chassis-based platforms for deploying a cluster of M3 Media Servers, Motorola management software and qualified third-party applications in an extremely scalable, fault-tolerant and efficient package. The result is an integrated solution for the delivery of media across multiple devices and networks that reduces OpEx & CapEx while improving reliability. The Motorola M3 Media Center provides a configurable combination of processing, management and solid-state storage blades sharing redundant power, cooling and networking components to maximize performance, flexibility and efficiency. Key Features The Motorola M3-C600 & M3-C1000 Media Centers work with Motorolas media distribution applications to provide the following benefits: Scalability Supports up to 20,000 SD equivalent streams per 6U chassis and up to 40,000 per 10U chassis Up to 2,000 ingests per 6U chassis and up to 4,000 SD ingests per 10U chassis Up to 12TB of internal solid-state cache Expandable local cache through external solidstate or HDD storage All blades access any port or external storage over shared, 5 terabit per second high-speed midplane Supports intelligent edge caching to enable virtually unlimited content libraries Seamlessly grow streaming and ingest capacity by adding processing blades Can provide additional streaming and ingest capacity to existing B-1 Video Server deployments

The Motorola M3 Media Server family represents a solid-state platform for the delivery of high value media across cable & IPTV set-tops, PCs and mobile devices. The M3 Media Server is part of the Motorola Media Delivery System, which includes Motorola CPS-1000 and BitBand Maestro media distribution applications. Together they enable the creation of an efficient, scalable Content Delivery Network (CDN). The Motorola M3 Media Server utilizes sophisticated software designed to optimize the performance and reliability of commodity off the shelf (COTS) hardware.
