I RECOMMEND THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS (BOARD) AUTHORIZE THE TRANSFER TO SHERIFF'S OFFICE OF ASSETS PURCHASED IN THE COURSE OF THE JAIL HEALTH CARE FACILITY CONSTRUCTION, RETROACTIVE TO OCTOBER 01,2007.

The Public Works Building Design Division, on behalf of the Board, purchased assets to appropriately furnish and equip the Jail Health Care Facility prior to occupancy by the Sheriffs Office. The list of assets includes, but is not limited to, mobile treatment cabinets, medical exam tables, electric beds, an x-ray system, a fork lift, appliances and security equipment. The transfer of these assets to the Sheriffs Office is appropriate as the assets are, and have been, under the care, custody and control of Sheriffs Office personnel.
The total value of the assets recommended for transfer to the Sheriffs Office is $1,365,003.57 listed under exhibits. The retroactive date represents the date the Sheriffs Office began using the assets.
