"Adapter" identifies the plug on the adapter boards where you should plug your mixer fader cable. "X/Y" is normally set to Y for optimal curve. However, for mono digital crossfaders, we recommend the X setting. "curve" position is our suggested setting. You can set this differently to match your mixing style. NOTE: use "curveA" if curve trim pot orientation is normal, and use "curveB" if the curve trim pot is upside down
