10 mm spanner Torx 30 screwdriver Side cutting pliers Flat blade screwdriver Ratchet and extension Lififting Jack Pair Of Axle Stands
NOTE: FAILURE TO FOLLOW INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS AND NOT USING THE PROVIDED HARDWARE MAY DAMAGE THE INTAKE TUBE, THROTTLE BODY AND ENGINE.

TO START:

1. Turn the ignition OFF and disconnect the vehicle's negative battery terminal.

2. Push the tab to unlip, then, remove the breather hose from the side of the intake hose.
7. Remove the vacuum pipe from the top of the resonator box.
12. Unclip & remove the top of the resonator box from the support bracket.
3. Unclip and remove the intake hose from between the throttle body & air box assembly.
8. Remove the rubber elbow hose from the vacuum pipe as shown.
13. Unclip & remove the complete resonator box assembly from the vehicle as shown.
4. Unclip the auxiliary air pump feed pipe from the left hand side of the air box assembly.
9. Fit the supplied rubber cap plug over the end of the vacuum pipe as shown.
14. Unbolt & remove the main air box support bracket from the vehicle as shown.
5. Unclip the vacuum pipe from the right side of the air box. Secure the vacuum pipe to the hood release cable using a cable tie supplied.
10. As per manufacturers instructions and taking all the necessary safety precautions raise the front of the vehicle and support it with axle stands. Unclip & remove the plastic undertray as shown.
15. Unbolt & remove the secondary air box support bracket from the vehicle as shown.
6. Carefully pull the air box assembly from its mountings & remove the assembly from the vehicle.

11. From behind the left hand bumper area unclip & remove the intake pipe from the resonator box feed pipe.

16. Screw the studded rubber vibration mount provided into the air box support bracket mounting point as shown. Continued on reverse side!

17. Fit the mounting bracket to the studded vibration mount as shown using the M6 Nylock nut and flat metal washer supplied. Dont fully tighten yet!
22. Fit the drycharger onto the filter. NOTE: The Drychargers water repelliant properties will last up to two years. See the parts list to re-order the Drycharger if necessary.
27. Refit the undertray to the underside of the vehicle.
18. Fit the silicone stepped hose onto the throttle body & secure using the hose clamp supplied.
28. Reconnect the vehicles negative battery cable. Installation is now complete. 23. Unclip & remove the plastic angled vent from the original breather hose. 29. Double check to make sure everything is tight and properly positioned before starting the vehicle. 30. It will be necessary for all Typhoons to be checked periodically for realignment, clearance and tightening of all connections. Failure to follow the above instructions or proper maintenance may void warranty.

ROAD TESTING:

19. Fit the K&N Typhoon intake tube into the silicone hose using the hose clamp supplied. Do not fully tighten yet! NOTE: Before installing clean the inside of the tube with water and a towel. 1. Start the engine with the transmission in neutral or park, and the parking brake engaged. Listen for air leaks or odd noises. For air leaks secure hoses and connections. For odd noises, find cause and repair before proceeding. This kit will function identically to the factory system except for being louder and much more responsive. 2. Test drive the vehicle. Listen for odd noises or rattles and fix as necessary. 3. If road test is fine, you can now enjoy the added power and performance from your kit. 4. K&N suggests checking the Filtercharger element periodically for excessive dirt build-up. When the element becomes covered in dirt (or once a year), service it according to the instructions on the Recharger service kit available from your K&N dealer, part number 995003EU.
24. Fit the breather hose onto the vent on the K&N Typhoon intake tube as shown.
25. Secure the auxiliary air pump feed pipe to the coolant hose using a plastic tie supplied. 20. Align the threaded welded-on threaded stud on the Typhoon tube with the mounting bracket & secure using the M6 bolt wave & flat washer supplied. Do not fully tighten yet!
26. Align the intake tube assembly for best fit & clearance, then, firmly tighten all the clamps & hardware connections. 21. From underneath the vehicle fit the filter onto the K&N Typhoon intake tube using the hose clamp supplied.
