The secret of the line array: "Frequency filtering" actively directs specified frequencies of sound to a different pair of drivers. This process, combined with the critical distance between each driver, creates the concentrated beam of sound.
Altec Lansing InConcert Technology is what delivers the sound quality of the FX6021 system. A fusion of pro audio line-array and tri-amp technologies, InConcert Technology uses three discrete amplifiers to power three pairs of micro drivers in each satellite. The frequency signal is split three ways between the micro drivers that are set at a precise, logarithmic-based distance from each other. It is the combination of "frequency filtering" and "critical distance" that steers the sound straight out, not up or down. Because each micro driver is powered by its own amplifier, frequency response in each range and overall tonal balance is greatly improved.
