For the price, you are getting one of if not the best consumer digital video camera on the market. 1 Good picture quality, vivid colors 1 Menu bit tricky @ overcomplicated

Overall, great video - the colors and vividness will amaze you. New Egg pricing is not the most competitive but overall still a good buy. Very large files because of HD format...be prepared for that. Thought of going with a cheaper camera and went with this...happy I did. I used Pinnacle Studio 14 in Windows 7 and the software sees the camcorder right away and allowed me to import the .MTS video to my PC.

8MP camera is great on outdoors during the day and indoors with lighting. Once it starts getting dark the camera has a hard time focusing. The Vixia HF10 takes photos with a 0.31-inch CMOS sensor, and can video on four parameters of 5 Mbit / s to 17 Mbit / s. The Canon Vixia HF S10 is simply a great camcorder for taking great looking video wherever you find yourself.

Great Camcorder - Lousy Extraction The Canon Vixia HFS10 is by far the best camcorder that I have used. Horrible if you care about audio I bought this camera about 5 months ago because I heard the picture quality was great, which it is.

The Canon VIXIA HF S10 camcorder may be, perhaps, the closest thing to a high quality, all-in-one camcorder/camera device out on the market.
