Lightweight (M1-+A/0.5A - 17kg and M-1+A/0.5S - 14kg), compact size allows operation in small spaces. Six-axis design enables part feeding from the sides of a work zone, increasing the useable workspace. Multiple installation orientations accommodate a wide range of work areas. Unique parallel-link design maximizes speed. Can be separated from its stand, allowing easy integration into a machine. A camera for +RVision (built-in) can be integrated into the robot for vision guidance and error-proong applications. New R-30+A Mate rack-style controller provides intelligent robot functions with a compact controller footprint. Detachable color-graphic iPendant or monochrome pendant can be shared between multiple robots on the same assembly line.

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich., March 21, 2011 FANUC Robotics America will demonstrate small part handling, dispensing, high-speed picking, and assembly applications with the M-1iA parallel-link robot at Automate 2011, held March 2124, at McCormick Place, Chicago, booth #648. At the show, the FANUC M-1iA robot will demonstrate: Assembling gears with a FANUC FS-15iA force sensor. Picking and placing micro vials for a sterilization process. Picking and placing bearings using iRVision in Educational CERT cart. Dispensing sealant and inspecting parts using iRVision Error Proofing. Picking and sorting pharmaceuticals with the iRVision color camera to sort different colors.
M-1iA Intelligent Robot The M-1iA is a lightweight and compact six-axis, parallel-link robot designed for small part handling, high-speed picking, packing, and assembly applications. The unique parallel-link structure provides higher speeds and accuracy compared to traditional handling robots. The robot can be installed in a variety of orientations, and has a three-axis wrist, making it extremely flexible. The M-1iA also offers a four-axis model for simple operations such as part picking or kitting. A single-axis wrist offers speeds up to 3000 degrees per second.
